I wonder how many brainless people think we are actually safer searching people like this?

I’m so sick of hearing the “but we are safer” mantra.

“TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said a review of closed circuit TV footage from the airport shows “proper procedures were followed.”

So are they now recording strip searches to see if proper procedures were followed?

We should be “profiling” but it’s not out of the realm of possibility that some Muslim fanatics kidnap the family of an elderly person with little time left to live, implant an explosive device in an orifice and tell her “Detonate” the device over a populated city, or we will kill your family.

Far-fetched?

Remember, these people are crazy, and bank robbers have used a similar MO - hold the family of the bank manager hostage, have him clean the bank vault out of a large amount of cash and give it to them if he ever wants to see his wife and kids alive again.

I really like traveling to some parts of this great country that are too far to drive on a vacation schedule. Until I’m retired, air travel is the only option for me. I do travel less than I would otherwise would (hear that, airline industry?) due to the personal violation while moslems - the real enemy that brought this whole thing upon us - seem to skate on through. Our slave (government) has become our master. Bastards.

What about elder abuse? Maybe she can get them on that.

Oh come on! Don't you think that family member, with something stuck up inside of them, might act just a tad nervous as they approached airline security? That's what profiling would catch.

If I can’t drive there, I don’t go there..........

In 5-6 years, TSA will be doing this on the Interstate.

So—I won’t take interstates. I seldom do anyway.

This is a beautiful country if you get off the interstate and take the back roads.

When you’re retired, you can take all the time you want.

Absolutely true, happened to me last year at Raleigh/Charlotte. I refused to be x
rayed and they told me if I did not take the perverse, intrusive pat down in a public place, then they would take me into a private room and grope me. If I refused the private grope, then they would arrest me.

I was with two teens, it was horrific. They groped a Granny in a wheel chair at the same time. She was terrified , the poor dear!
I made it a point to yell loudly at her and everyone present (it was 6 AM)

“CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?”

The few people that were there applauded and whistled

I got extra bruisolutses for that, my kids didn’t talk to me but it was worth every second!

Absolutely THE STUPIDEST LAW BUSH ever signed except for McCain/Feingold!

This is about accepting the arbitrary use of power without thinking about it. Some in the public need a refresher course to not question the authorities. This is a gentle reminder; this is societal conditioning. Get used to it.

Nope, I simply quit flying. Hmmm seems I remember a major Airline that recently declared bankruptcy. Actions have consequences. Not from what I might spend on air fare, but if enough people quit flying it is significant.

Arbitrary?

Abuse of power is something we should all remember when we go to the election in 2012.

Scorched earth for Dems and RINOs.

Arbitrary in the sense these kind of laws aren’t grounded in any kind of absolutes/moral foundation, but instead are relativistic, post-modern, grounded in whatever society at the moment thinks is the right thing to do.

Arbitrary that there’s no way to objectively say sucha rule is right or wrong, it’s totally based on societal relativity at any given moment.

It’s why so much law and legal thinking and rules totally contradict our history of laws based on Judeo Christian foundations and instead you get zero-tolerance polices, political correctness, affirmative action (state-sponsored racism if it’s for state-sanctioned ‘good reasons’), gender/race quotas, and a legal system more bent on criminalizing lawful citizens and coddling criminals.

TSA is another example of losing constitutional rights..no probable cause, no reasonable suspicion. This can’t be helping the airlines either. Didn’t American Airlines just file bankruptcy? TSA should disappear into history, along with the Obama Health Care Act. We’re turning into the USSA.

YEP....I don’t fly anymore if I can absolutely avoid it....but, one of the last times I did was out of John Wayne Airport, CA....and I accidentally had an unopened purchased water bottle in my purse...they picked it up, and I said...”Oh, I wasn’t thinking”....and this worker, says...THAT’s the PROBLEM....NOT THINKING.....I looked him straight in the eyes and said...”That’s because people like me don’t intend harm to anyone”....he was a middle eastern guy....he looked at me...and I could tell was thinking of saying SOMETHING...then I said...”But, YOU can have it.” Nothing more was said. Of course my husband standing next to me is wishing I’d just shut up....it was my LAST hurrah flying....I HATE FLYING.
