Catching up here, or at least trying to ; } and in agreement with your post.
Sarah has been awesome from the get go, but I was always conflicted about her running. I would vacillate between being confident that there was no more damage the StateRunMedia could do to her, and worrying that they didn’t need to, because the so many of the sheeple still actually BELIEVED the meme from 2008!
Herman. Well. I often said that there were things I liked about Herman, and things I didn’t, but what I liked best was the fear that his successes instilled in BOTH the Left and in the Establishment Right. So I sent him $, and stuck solidly with him right up until the minute he admitted that his wife of forty years, knew nothing of his paying some woman,(that she also did not know), for thirteen years... Herman, Herman, Herman. A crying shame, for your family and for the nation. I pray for the healing of your marriage and your family, and that God is indeed, guiding our course.
Perry is next up on my list, and while I do have some serious hesitations, I understand and agree with the “No Perfect Candidate” school of thought.
Newt. As much as I respect and appreciate his knowledge of history, and do so thoroughly enjoy his skewering the Media ;} I just have one heck of a time believing him after so many policy switcheroos and the unbelievable Dede Scozzafava debacle : /
As for the rest, Paul is sharp on domestic, but absolutely terrifying on foreign policy and it seems that for any number of reasons, Bachmann and Santorum are just not catching fire. And neither is Huntsman,(Thank You Lord ;).
TinyPrintDisclaimerTime - All that being said, I think the bumper sticker that we need says, “Anybody but O, and Ro!”, LOL.
May God guide our course.

Romney just said, Its been an interesting show to watch so far. That means the candidates are watching in the back room. No CONE OF SILENCE? Hahahahaha, remember Zero complaining about that at the Saddleback debate in 2008?
Didn’t work for me, as I ranked them Perry, Santorem, Paul, Bachmann, Romney amd Gingrich. My rankings were based on plus/minus regarding whether they responded directly to a question or just blathered (like Newt, Santorem and Mitt) and on my personal bent regarding agree or disagree.
Strange that Santorem came in second on my personal ranking, because he is a smarmy, sanctimonious loser that couldn’t even get re-elected in his own State and endorsed a turncoat GOP Specter. He did, I guess, address the questions asked; however his problems involve always running his mouth and going off onto tangents about social values having nothing to do with the subject. He needs to go start his own church somewhere. .....JMO
Love ya gentle lady. You take care.
You need to read up on Gore in 1988. He lost primarily for opposing Jesse Jackson’s anti-Israel stance.
Secondly, Perry was not a “big” supporter of Al Gore. All of the Dem reps signed on one day, but Perry never really did any campaigning for Gore and said he voted for Bush.

I do have serious problems with how he sees muslims....it sucks IMO and is dangerous for our country to have a Pres. who appeases them...and doesn’t have a strong grasp on their agenda..
Can you provide a link or two to FR that would prove that Perry is appeasing Muslims? .....To me, your statements are the equivalent of others who constantly post that Perry is for open borders and amnesty for illegals.
My support for Gingrich has been re-inforced after watching this forum. If Newt wins Iowa, comes close in NH and wins SC...he will soar. Not a single candidate is on his intellectual level.
Newt has nothng to offer on most major issues beyond what Conservative candidates have already said; he just pontificates on what should be done in general terms.
I can see Newt possibly having a place in a new admistration, but it would certainly not be as POTUS.
“The Law” really is a great primer on the law and basic public ethics 101. I believe there’s a little bit more room for society to work together to protect inalienable rights through laws and even taxes, but if the country ran strictly by Bastiat’s code, we’d do fine.
Perry ran Gores campaign for President in 1988 in Texas.
He was a State Rep. in the Texas House at the time and not a campaign manager for Gore in TX. In fact, he and others like him were called the “pit bulls” of the House because they were the “conservative” Dems and opposed the liberal leanings of the progressive Dems. He switched to Repub in 1989.
Mitts delivery was perhaps the most disjointed. And Mr. Perrys closing was weak.
Regarding Mitt... I ranked him 5th tonight on the interviews and Newt was last.
Fantastic! I love hearing him talk about Sam Johnston, defending life and our soldiers in the Middle East. He does a great job of endorsing Sandoval of Nevada, too.
“God bless ya, and through you, may God continue to bless the great State of Texas!” Amen!
Pctex...your statement indicates you’re aware of the problem and my concerns...it’s been discussed before on FR., and for that matter since Perry began his run this has been an issue more than covered throughout the internet news sites avaiable to all.
Plans can be bad, eg newt amnesty plan.
Besides, they tell about the judgement and priorities of the candidate.
Newt’s plan on illegals... I am very much supportive of. We’ll differ on what that plan means as I adhere to the Immigration definition of Amnesty....which Newt does not support. No citizenship apart from going thru the laws already established.
Green energy as it is at this time is simply a revenue bucket to those appointed for Gov. funds...rather like a slush fund in many cases... in most countries..and is not working.
Global Warming remains a farce...and it will be...they are just regrouping...they’ll call it another name and try to inforce it but not any time soon.
Perry = forcing young children to get VD vaccines without parental consent
Perry = nazi (aka Dem) party member - proud member of the official abortion party and the official big government party and the official public service union party and the official party of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton (Reagan was a democrat when it was still plausible to be both a patriotic God-fearing constitutionalist and a dem)
Perry = giving hugely expensive benefits to illegal immigrants (stands by the law he signed forcing ridiculously subsidized government colleges to admit illegals as if they were legal Texas residents - tuition at these schools does NOT cover the cost of running them, so inm effect even illegals get thousands of dollars of free stuff if they sign up for Universidad Perry - and of course many illegals probably do not even pay tuition)
Perry = oops

Dont like Perrys making the congress part-time.
The Fed Legislators use tax payer dollars to fly home, sometimes every weekend, take lobbyist paid junkets to foreign countries for “fact finding”, send out tons of junk mail, live like queens and kings in their lifestyles, etc. ....In spite of all of those benefits, the Fed legislators do little over the course of a year, other than maybe a half dozen significant bills. ....Why do we pay these clowns to have each other voting on naming a Post Office after someone that is unknown outside of the specific area??? ....Why do we sometimes see scenes on CSPAN where there is one person speaking and one person sitting in the big chair and there is no one else in the entire room (while still getting paid for being on the job)???
That’s a vast difference with the Federal Congress, whose members earn a lifetime pension now for only serving one term and a lot of their time is spent on junkets paid for by taxpayers and lobbyists. With their year long “service”, they actually spend very little time in session and it’s their staff personnel who do all of the research, write their speeches and draft the bills. ...Granted, that’s a generalization, and some of the elected in Congress may write their own lines for the public or bills to be presented.
I did check newt and gw.
In 2007, newt publicly supported cap and trade (pbs interview).
He seens to sign on every trendy liberal cause eg amnesty, gw, fairness doctrine, al sharptons initiatives etc.
***That’s leadership...right from the get go and Newt’s at the helm of this!***
Great analysis.
Newt’s critics blast him for ‘being’ on all sides of an issue; which is ridiculous. The facts are that Newt looks to experts in science, medicine and energy for input on complex issues and presents them in the open for discussion.
His voting record should be examined along with the debates on which he based his decisions.
Friendly persuasion where possible and full frontal firepower when necessary.
