I feel the need to point something out here (not saying I’m right) - the left are liars and character assassins, but it makes no sense (in my mind) for them to torpedo Cain BEFORE he earns the nomination. Seriously - if they had this dirt on him, why not let him get mano y mano vs. Obamo and then launch the character assassination?

I think we need to continue to look hard at the Romney or Perry camps, as a matter of common sense. If it can be proven that either of them started this snowball (which the msm happily blew up everywhere), they should be no less than tarred and feathered. I feel like blaming this whole thing on the left might be letting some traitors in our midst off the hook, possibly. jmho

If your theory is right, you should be thanking them (Romney, Perry, whoever else your blaming) for getting this stuff out there early INSTEAD of having it all blow up in October at the end of a general election.

Seriously, what is wrong with you? Whatever the truth is, all these allegations were enough to make Cain voluntarily drop his campaign. If he can't defend himself now, how the heck do you believe he'd have been able to do it in the general election? The WORST thing that could possibly happen is to nominate someone with skeletons that would explode in the middle of the general election.

Because the chicago way is to clear the field well in advance. Why take chances on the Republicans fielding a string candidate (especially one against whom the race card won’t work)? Better to weaken or destroy the field when it is cheap (especially when you have the RNC helping you). By the time they are done, the only one remaining to run will be Paul (soros’ and the MSM’s wet dream candidate).

Maybe the MSM felt Cain couldn't go all the way - and they needed to sharpen knives for Newt. They go after our top person - who ever that is... After they cut Newt to shreds, they'll move on to the next name...

You may be right. But I think it was done now because if Cain had been the nominee, EVERYONE would have been paying attention. It would have been easier for Conservatives to make the case about their bias with regard to Dems and their bimbos. Also, I think that by doing it now, they believe it would be more effective because many GOP and Independent voters will not overlook it because they can always jump to another candidate.

Many in the MSM do realize that there is a significant segment of the population who would vote for a ham sandwich over Obama. They did not want to risk voters forgiving Cain for all of this because they wanted to be rid of Obama above all else. There is a better chance of that happening if he was the only choice other than the One.

I know many Independents who feel that way. The MSM is doing the opposite of what we should be doing. Which is supporting the most Conservative candidate who can win. They are trying to eliminate the most Conservative candidates first. Leaving only the remaining GOP nominee, against whom they will then put all of their considerable propagandizing skills to work.
