I have been, since the start, and continue to be to this day, puzzled as to why anyone would see Herman Cain as a potential President. After screaming at the top of my lungs in 2007 and 2008 to the four winds that Barry Barack Soetoro was the LEAST qualified person EVER to be ELECTED (lesser qualified have run!) it seems odd that Conservatives(??) and Freepers have knowingly backed a person with 'perhaps' even less qualifications.
I have no animus with Cain. Everyone should be able to run, and seeing a NON-politician ascend the runway is heartening. But I fail to see the measure of GRAVITAS required to lead America as President in this man.
These days one tends to focus so much on the purposeful destruction of our economy that we forget a leader must have a world view and some world expertise. You can see what the lack of such ability and vision has done to us as a nation under a two-bit Chicago street thug and bagman for the Daley machine.
Who has gravitas? I don't believe Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Huntsman, or Santorum have it. Paul may have an once or two. Mittens has a teaspoon or two. And Newty probably has a half-cup. I don't even find Palin to have the requisite amount although I love her combativeness in the political arena.
Out of all the people in this country the ONLY choices we can offer up are Obama, Biden, Gingrich, Romney, Paul, Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Santorum and Huntsman. What a sad statement for America.
I find no choice! And so once again we Conservatives, a minority to be sure, find ourselves stuck with the lesser evil. Would any of OUR candidates be better than the two Communists currently ensconced at 1600? Yes. But once again we will find ourselves with Bob Dole, Bush 1 and Bush 2 and having to go along with it because,...
...ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN 4 MORE YEARS OF OBAMA. So get prepared to 'settle'. Every election we swear we won't vote for a RINO but every year the option of allowing a DemonRat to be elected overwhelms us.
But Cain? No. And I simply can't understand what you guys see or have seen in him that you would want to elevate this guy to President. As for me, there is NO choice. So I sit here feeling empty and frozen. A sad commentary.

You fail to see the issue. The problem with Obama is not that he was unqualified, it’s the fact he’s a MARXIST and he has been successful in putting those policies in place!! Professional politicians have not served us well, so what use is it to be ‘qualified’?
