Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.
We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

I presume you are being somewhat sarcastic; however, if you really are considering a weapon for a “world gone mad” scenario; the choice would depend somewhat on your abilities/physical size etc.
You might want to consider ammo availability before deciding upon a specific weapon. (For instance, lots of 9mm Parabellum/.45 ACP/.223 or 5.56mm available at bargain prices because those have long been in use by U.S. Military/NATO forces ...and pick a weapon that has a similarly good supply of critical spare parts available.
I would also consider a good shotgun for home defense/CQB ...the venerable Remington 870 Pump is cheap (Police version is best for durability/reliability) ...there are others, of course equally good.
Lots of experienced shooters on FR ...ask around.

I want to know when we are going to hold people like this in the media accountable. I want EVERYTHING in their past drug out and put in the spotlight. Are they good enough to not only report the news, but keep from commenting and slanting the news to favor a certain company, a certain agenda, a certain political candidate?
I used to like watching FOX because I thought conservatives finally had a place to watch the news in peace. That is far from the truth now and I plan on kissin’ FOX off. The way they helped the very same MSM that they tout to be better than is shameful.
I also have a news flash for Mr. Cain. I supported YOU. I have no intention of running out and voting the way you think I should.
I am not voting for anyone that Rove is pushing..newt..mitt..can’t do it. If rhinos pick one of them they are asking to be defeated again.
I am no longer a part of the GOP. I’m an independent and I’m staying that way. Can’t go to the primaries in Iowa if you are an independent.
I have learned that people must be more interested in sex and scandal than in turning the economy around or creating real jobs. People like the burden of the IRS and are used to illegals taking jobs, tax payer money and shortcuts through their back yards.
People are more impressed with smooth talkers, constant talkers, “it’s all about me” talkers and talkers that are “brilliant” but fail to give a yes or no answer to questions asked.
I’ve learned you can’t trust your government, the IRS, the media, your political party or your neighbors seventh cousin who visited 21 years ago and is now suing for food poisoning from potato salad served at lunch that day.
I don’t know friend. What are you gonna do? What have you learned from all of this?

Well now that Herman Cain is out of the race, the tea party is left really with Bachmann, but her and Perry, who some liked, are polling bad. But they are about it as Santorum is even lower in the polls. So people are split over all the candidates left. Gingrich has his share of detractors within the tea party.
Therefore I am saying that Cain dropping out will now fuel third party candidates. Trump may or may not run now. I think he might now if he is against Gingrich and Romney. And I think he might be. But if not him then others will come in.
Michael Savage predicted on his show that a wave might come into the race as third party candidates to play spoiler or out of dissatisfaction with the GOP nominee and with Obama.
More than usual that is.

Well I have zero trust in Newt, I used to like him, then I did my homework and I do not trust him in the least. But if the choice is Zero or Newt it’s a no brainier. However if there is a viable 3rd Party, which is looking more and more likely as one conservative after another falls to the ruling class tools, I will have to think about things.
Ya know..I think I can get behind a new party. Let’s see, Rove and Hume think the Cain supporters are delusional and will fall in line with their choice now that Cain is out. And they both think Ron Paul is out of his mind. How many voters are in just these two groups? Enough to make anyone stop and rethink barring conservatives from the voters?
