I thought committee assignments, including the Chair, were made by the House majority, i. e., the GOP.

They are. You didn’t think that the guys in charge now will still be in charge in another election cycle or two did you? Ms. Waters will ascend to that seat eventually, count on it.

That was a little unclear. If the republicans are still in the majority she’d have the #2 spot, the “ranking member” of the minority party.

I don’t know who actually chooses who gets which spot. I imagine each party gets to choose for itself. I find it hard to imagine that even the dims would put such a stupid and corrupt woman like waters in such an important spot, but hey, maybe I’m wrong.

It really is like a joke, Dodd-Frank should be renamed the Wolf/Henhouse bill, because it makes as much sense.
