“I thought committee assignments, including the Chair, were made by the House majority...”
That was a little unclear. If the republicans are still in the majority she’d have the #2 spot, the “ranking member” of the minority party.
I don’t know who actually chooses who gets which spot. I imagine each party gets to choose for itself. I find it hard to imagine that even the dims would put such a stupid and corrupt woman like waters in such an important spot, but hey, maybe I’m wrong.
It really is like a joke, Dodd-Frank should be renamed the Wolf/Henhouse bill, because it makes as much sense.
A political party that selects Debbie Wotsamatter U-Shultz as Chairthing of their election efforts will certainly have no problem with Wacky Maxine.
Freddie Mac seeks $10.6B in aid after 1Q loss
Freddie Mac is asking for $10.6 billion in additional federal aid after posting a big loss in the first three months of the year. It’s another sign that the taxpayer bill for stabilizing the housing market will keep mounting.
The McLean, Va.-based mortgage finance company has been effectively owned by the government after nearly collapsing in September 2008. The new request will bring the total tab for rescuing Freddie Mac to $61.3 billion.
Freddie Mac says it lost $8 billion, or $2.45 a share, in the January-March period. That takes into account $1.3 billion in dividends paid to the Treasury Department. It compares with a loss of $10.4 billion or $3.18 a share, in the year-ago period.

( Loss to Taxpayers $61.3 billion so far! )
A number of politicians belong in jail for our current economic mess . Number one of that list is Barney Frank.
