Newt Gingrich is now the front runner for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination. It appears it will be a 2-man race between him and Mitt Romney. Some here have suggested that there is no difference between the two. Some have even suggested that Gingrich would be a worse choice than Romney, that he's more liberal than Romney, and that he would be as bad if not worse than another 4 years of Obama. Instead of hyperbole, let's examine the actual record, shall we?
The Antichrist?! Okay — that’s just a TAD of an overstatement.
Newt is no Conservative, but neither is he the Beast of Revelation, the “little horn” of Daniel, The “man of sin” as Paul called him, the “son of perdition” as Jesus referred to him....
Newt? A lot of “baggage,” maybe. Even a sociopath, perhaps. But the Antichrist? Uh - no.
You prove my point. The GOP elite keep us enslaved by pointing Left and saying, “THAT is what happens if you don’t vote for me!”
Not doing it anymore. Been voting since Goldwater. No more, “lesser of two evils” for me.
They rely on on people to not think and get in line. NEVER gonna get in line for RINO Newt or RINO Romney.
Third Party.
I just emailed your article to a good friend of mine in Hawaii, he seems to have forgotten the good old days. I have also persuaded some non political cousins of mine in Wash.State to watch the debates, they now know NEWT and like what he has to say.

Mitt’s not cheese, he’s Whiz.
Mitt’s a Democrat pretending otherwise (like McCain). Newt’s a Republican. Not the most conservative, but more conservative than either Bush, and probably about with Reagan, who had his own Swiss cheese “holes.”
I’ll take Newt over Romney or Obammy. But I will never stop bashing him when he travels to the nearest couch to unite with ugly international socialist women.
Excellent article, Newt is and always has been a true conservative. I believe that Newt’s time is now, he is America’s advocate at a time in our history when we really need it most. I certainly appreciate your article when we’re seeing so many anti-Newt articles being posted and the negative comments about whoever is the leading “NOT ROMNEY” candidate.
Just like you, I’ve been trying to point out the lies concerning Newt Gingrich being a conservative, and just like you, I mostly get crickets in response.
Seems his “head-in-the-sand” cheerleaders all go silent after presented the truth.
BTTT. Well researched...Thanks!
I voted for the little guy too And I lernt too
Thank you for posting this; I’m sick of those here tossing all of our candidates under the bus waiting for a non-existent perfect white knight candidate.
The alternative is a commie-bastard,likely literal.
Newt is not the most conservative candidate running. He isn’t my first choice, nor my second choice. But he’s a good choice. Other than ideas, what he brings to the table is a track record of getting conservative things accomplished in DC.
If you take the perspective that you’re not going to get 100% of what you want anyway, you can logically choose either the person who is going to go in with the strongest bargaining stance (i.e. the most conservative ideologically), or the person who can get the best deal (i.e. the best negotiator). I think Newt is more of the second persuasion.
While I personally think that Newt would be the best VP imaginable and I would prefer to see him in that position, he would be a competent and conservative enough President.
He is such a historian that during his administration he would have some time to think about history.
Where we have been and where we are going will be a big part of his off hours thoughts as he thinks about his legacy.
I believe that is an extra benefit.

Interesting point. And I believe you’re probabaly right even though I tend to disagree with Newt’s views in that respect. At least he’ll be thinking about it.
I am for a path to legality for those people whose ties are so deeply into America that it would truly be tragic to try and rip their family apart."

It should also be mentioned that advocates of amnesty should not be taken seriously if they claim to be also in favor of tougher border control. It is simply not credible that advocates of amnesty will be reliably tough on controlling the borders. ~Newt Gingrich 2006
First time was when I was the news pool guy when he visited his home town Middletown. Not going into details on that story now.
Second time was when I had a beer with him at the (forget the name) hotel in DC.
It was the first day of GW Bush Admin. (We had partied at the Free Republic Ball and Count the Silverware the previous night) We walked over to the White House and I asked him what the hell are you going to do in there. He said something like, the guy needs direction. He had been invited. I was not and I stayed at the Monica Gate.
Somewhere I actually have a picture to prove this.
Kristinn, I just had to ping you on this one.
The 8.6 will be quietly upgraded next week. Will read your post tomorrow...
“Your not going to believe this. I have met and spent time with Newt.”
OK. So it’s time to spill the beans. What were your impressions of him as a person?
“The 8.6 will be quietly upgraded next week.”
Of course it will be.
Okay. See ya later!
If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.
Or you can get raw with these strings. Either way, the violin is sweet yet lethal.
Do it!
