The owner of an eatery in New York City's Lower Manhattan who said he was forced to let go 25 percent of his staff last month due to the Occupy Wall Street protests now says he might have to close his doors for good come next week.
Marc Epstein, owner of the Milk Street Cafe, tells FoxNews.com that authorities have not taken down barricades around Zuccotti Park and along Wall Street despite the dwindling number of protesters since they were evicted from their encampment two weeks ago, keeping consumer foot traffic and his profits to a minimum.
Its like a siege mentality down here. Its killing business for everyone down here, said Epstein, who said he was forced to fire 21 employees after sales dropped 30 percent since the start of the Occupy Movement. If we dont get relief, I wont be able to stay open past Tuesday.

Once the system crashes, they will all go seek their needs in rural areas, abandoning the cities.
And order will restore itself.
The owner needs to get Doomberg to cut a check from his personal stash.
If they do, they better wear body armor.
It's like a giant ant farm.
They breed faster than you can possibly reload.
And there, they will fertilize the fields and feed the fauna.
City Cafe owner should just sue OWS. They have all that money. The city should bill them for the clean up too.
It sounds like the Police are the problem, at this point, rather than the OWSers.
See, thats what you get. Now, if you had a tony establishment that sold $200 meals at lunch to Wall Street execs you would support the OWS!!
lol.
Surely this guy has some legal recourse . . If I was him I’d be taking lots of pics (however gross) and also hiring private investigators to find out rich brats amongst the group . . as well as sue the city for failure to protect his property rights and interference with his right to conduct business. He pays for a business license, health license, etc.
I’ll bet the guy who was there in the food truck made lots of money. What a shame that people lost their jobs because of those Occupy fleabaggers.
My thoughts exactly.
So really, if you think of it, they are just speeding up their own demise.
A power shift is coming, and it’s not going to be pretty.
how so?? if the smelly hippies were not illegally squatting in a park there would be no need for crowd control or barricades....
fact is i’m waiting to see one of these idiot protests that obtained a permit...i’ve been to a number of Tea Party’s and have protested with Freepers in the past- in NYC nonetheless...and guess what?? we always had a permit that labeled approved areas where we could protest...
these dirtbags feel they can go anywhere and do anything- they want mayhem which the police must control...
This guy should sue Bloomberg personally for any and all losses incurred.
I can't imagine folks will welcome them back.
It appears the Police are dragging their feet taking down the barriers. I don't know who's fault that is.
The people in the rural environments won’t let them take, they will shoot them.
This is what I was trying to say, some people on these forums get really angry at any mention of violence, I have been called a monster, sworn at, etc. For some things that I have suggested.
what happens if they take the barricades down then the smelly hippies return??
this is Bloomberg’s fault; 100%...he let those dirtbags stay and march and protest with no permit or respect for the law...
put it another way- had permits been required then the barricades could be moved away as you would know when protests start and end...but since the smelly POS hippies are allowed to come and go as they please- with little resistance from il duetsche bloomberg- the police/authorities must be on full alert...
He might have a case for a federal lawsuit for violation of the “Equal Protection” clause.
It is comforting in this Christmas Season to hear that some people belonging to the much hated “ 1 % “ have received justice from the saintly-tainted OWS people.
How else could the following quote from a cafe owner be interpreted?
” - - - forced to let go 25 percent of his staff last month due to the Occupy Wall Street protests - - -. “
