Come on people, look sharp!
“Article 2, Section. 3. ... he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper...”
No, we wouldn’t consider it an “extraordinary Occasion” by any means but the decision as to that is up to congress and Dems and RINOs control enough of it to force submission.
The House could possibly adjourn anyway, it would do the Rep Party good to do so, but they can’t see it.
You mean Zero would miss out on a Hawaiian vakay with Mitch?
Maybe his perpetual reelection campaign could auction off a Christmas vakay with Mitch, since he won’t be able to go -
They could start asking for a $3 donation, ‘or whatever amount you feel comfortable with’ as the email read, requesting donations for a chance at an exciting Dinner with Zero and Mitch.
I’d bid 50 cents, as long as I can take a separate plane and stay on a different island from her largeness.
And filing directly with the Supremes to rule on whether this case was extraordinary, or just business as usual.
For the record, 'does not work or play well with others (idiots)' goes back into the '60s in my record. ;)

I’m glad you pointed that out.
This is a rarely exercised power.
According to wikipedia, the last time this power was exercised was in 1948, when President Harry S. Truman called a special session of Congress.
President Truman planned to campaign for reelection against the Do-Nothing 80th Congress, so he called these sessions to embarrass the Republican majorities by accusing them of not acting on important social matters.
Rush Limbaugh has noted that Obama is modelling his campaign on the Truman campaign.
This may be more significant than I thought.
I wouldn’t call this a ‘extraordinary occasion’ but then again, this is all Kabuki Theater with each party playing good politician/bad politician so, unless us peons get a copy of the script, anything is possible.
