In the comments on the Blaze one person talks of seeing Lutrell speak in person not long after this senseless act. He cam on stage and asked that everyone turn off their cell phones. Then he stood there silent for a long time looking around the room making eye contact with members of the audience and said, "Don't make me ask you again"
The room was instantly filled with the noise of people rustling through their pockets and purses to turn off heir phones.
A year or so ago Luttrell was a scheduled guest speaker at an NRA convention somewhere on the east coast, NY I think, and the night before he was to speak, he punched out an obnoxious drunk Brit in a bar and spent the night in jail........
The story I read on FR was that he had them in his sights, too. All lined up, ready to pop. That sort of restraint is a real testament to the self-control of a very dangerous human being. I'd have helped him bury the bodies. Happily.
