OK, I have a question...

Why is it that "Conservative Women" like Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram, Christine O'Donnell and the like are well into their 40s and 50s and still are not married of have any prospects. Seems to me that having a normal family would be one of the largest conservative things that they can do.

Not everyone can have, or even wants, a spouse and/or children. But then again, not everyone can be a successful athlete, or many other things.

The assumption that everyone wants a spouse and/or children should be questioned. Many people were not socialized with the opposite sex when young, despite going to school and church. They never had any significant social engagement with the opposite gender until they were adults.

If this is done to a dog, the dog will be anti-social or asocial with other dogs. Why should people be any different?

Many people are just too tired, low energied, to want a relationship, sex and children. They are already exhausted just by living.

Often, while they may look handsome, they just do not have what members of the opposite sex want. Perhaps they are oblivious to flirtation, or frightened of relationships, or whatever. Maybe they are too pretty, so others assume they are taken.

Some people do not have relationships because they are conscientious. They only have enough wealth or prospects for wealth to support themselves, and do not want to inflict poverty on others. Or their health is not good, and they do not wish to burden others with their problems.

Yet some other people are what homosexuals call “breeders”. They found a heartfelt relationship easily, and adore having and raising children, indifferent to the problems that come along as part of the deal.

But, like star athletes, not everyone can do this.

Coulter and Ingraham are aggressive, career-minded big mouths with annoying voices. What sensible man wants to marry that? They may be entertaining, but would you want to marry them? No thanks.

O'Donnell is a brainless grifter.

Probably for the same basic reasons Rush is on his ... what, fifth?

I recall skimming Ted Nugent’s _Kill_It_And_Grill_It_, reading a bit written by his wife. Her doctor told her she needed to slow down, relax, and live a calmer life; she responded “Do you realize who my husband is?”

Through out history and in every country, x number of females and x number of males will never marry. It has always been that way and it always will be that way.

In the most strictly crude, sexual sense, it’s simple biology.

If a man wants to have sex, he can beg, borrow, steal, and pay for it, and still, may strike out.

For a woman to have sex, all she needs are the right body parts and a room full of men...and she can find a willing partner.

The same is true for higher-level relationships.

I got sick of hearing her (when she was still carried on a local station) talk about her kid. “Maria Maria Maria Maria....” Look, I talk about my kids, too, and I love them, but I don’t spend time at work, when there are more important topics to my clients, going on and on about my kids. I hope she’s a great mom.

Marriage has its moments when it can be difficult enough, without one person being gone, on the road, meeting all sorts of people in the process.

I understand the demands on my time when at home and work around them to get out final reports on the wells I work as a geologist, and the family time is precious indeed. Needless to say, that has not left me the time to write bestsellers, make TV appearances, do speaking engagements, book signings, etc., in my spare time.

While parenthood is extremely important, shaping the thought processes and behaviour patterns of little minds one or two or three at a time, it is the Ann Coulters who are attempting to do the remedial work needed to try and shape all the little minds who didn't get enough mommy time.

If you have a talent, use it. But the price you pay is that it does not leave a lot of time for other things, as precious as they may be, and that includes meeting that special someone and developing the sort of relationship that will lead to a successful marriage.

Additionally, and this sounds a mite hardball, but we've seen how the Left uses any avenue of attack to isolate and ridicule people. There is safety in numbers for some, in solitude for others. Not having a spouse or family to attack means that much less to worry about, and no avenue weakness the enemy can exploit at their expense.

That’s where the “cougar” comes into play...

Coulter is in love with Chris Christie. Have you heard her talk about him? It’s almost sinful the drooling and carrying on she does about him.

You sound like a Jewish mother.

Some people just don’t marry, or they find the right person late in the game. What girls need to understand is as you age, there are fewer available men. By the time you hit your 30s, it seems like everybody’s married. By the time you reach your 40s, the only available men are divorced or widowed and many of them prefer (much) younger women, not an age-group peer. Even so, if you are Catholic, you can’t marry a divorced man in the Church. You also have the fun of surrendering part of your income to your hubby’s ex-wife and ex-children and the complications of being a stepmom. For a never-married woman, there’s not a lot of appeal in that. You could go the cougar route, but who wants to marry a boy? Like that worked out real well for Demi Moore.

In addition, people like Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter live and work in a world full of drips. If you think they have egos, the men they associate with probably make Donald Trump look humble.

And based on what I’ve read about Ann, she seems to like her space. As you get older it becomes harder to share that space with anyone and give up your independence. You become very set in your ways.

“What a douche. I had no idea that happened.”

The marriage was imminent when she was diagnosed. She was really excited about the marriage and on top of the world. IMO, she has not had the same attitude since. Darker, less optimistic. It was sad and wrong, but better to find out before than after.

Dana Perino is uncomfortably pretty, the kind of woman you can’t look away from until you realize you are staring.

Actually - it would probably be reasonable to agree with your comment: “And if you’re thinking that I must be some sort of arrogant bastard ....”

You see ...my daughter is very much like her mother - my wife of 29 years - who is also very competent, very accomplished, very capable - and was taught by HER father to be self-reliant and independent - so that she would not be taken advantage of by car salesmen, auto repair shops, or some “Don Juan” who might try to take advantage of her. (Like the daughter - the mother is also an ICU Nurse who can be strong/assertive when needed.)

The wife/mother was never domineering or bitchy, or something .... No drama here at home ...no financial problems or stresses because we both trust each other - and we tend to make good decisions! I would not have been as attracted to a woman who was less capable and more “dependent” on a guy to make decisions for her.

It is just that I was equally independent, competent - and more conservative....and quite capable of providing competent leadership in the home that she could trust in.

I guess my daughter is looking for someone like her father - and she doesn’t want to relax those high standards.

Marriage is out of the question. I earned the money for EVERYTHING I own & I won’t give any of it—much less 1/2— to any man

Marriage is about sharing. I for one am VERY happy and have been for 17 years. I hope you are equally happy with all of your stuff, although I have my doubts.

Laura has three adopted children and is a breast cancer survivor.

People seem quick to speak and slow to google.

A good pal and often guest host of Laura is also a pro abortion lesbian. Hmmmmmmmm.....

...and come to think of it, would Rush really be taken seriously as a conservative if his favorite guest host was a pro abortion, gay man?
