Her campaign is trying to undo the damage:
Tonight, the Bachmann campaign has released the following statement: Congresswoman Bachmann is a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence and is fully aware that we do not have an embassy in Iran and have not had one since 1980. She was agreeing with the actions taken by the British to secure their embassy personnel and was speaking in the hypothetical, that if she was President of the United States and if we had an embassy in Iran, she would have taken the same actions as the British.

I believe her. She is on the select intelligence committee after all.

Too bad really. I agree with Bachmann on near 100% of the issues. She’s just not quite ready for prime time and doesn’t come across as very presidential. She really exploded her campaign with her hysterical reaction to the HPV thing. Maybe in 2016 or 2020.

No one cares about foreign policy gaffes, unless it’s Herman Cain of course.

Guess she is the “ONLY ONE” that doesn’t know we have no embassy in Iran. Bet Sarah Palin knows.

Who cares about any of this? I’d still take her over ANY DemonRat. Hmm, Jeremiah Wright or forgetting that we don’t have an Iranian embassy? What to do?
She’s had a few slips, but it’s nothing compared to gaffe-a-minute Slow-Joe Biden, the man who proves that ANYBODY can have a power position in govt. if they’re rich and have friends in high places.

Painful. I really wish she would withdraw.

Today someone told me that Newt says he wouldn't be afraid of taking on Alinsky and Ayers. (Alinsky died in 72)
I just think its kind of odd how some scream that they don't want the media choosing our candidates but don't waste any time using the media against someone other than their chosen candidates.
The fact is that all candidates from both sides of the aisle say things that don't sound quite right, are wrong, or are just plain strange. The difference is that the media makes sure were aware of them when they're a republican.

Is this true? If it is, kind of a big gaff for a member of the intelligence committee. She was old enough to know about the Iranian take over and holding of our diplomats as hostages. This was a major issue for the start of the Reagan presidency.
Maybe she didn’t mean what it sounds like or maybe she was confusing Iran with another country?

This is essentially a non-issue. Apparently you haven’t heard the gaffes by Obumbo. I don’t like Bachmann for the way she has handled dealing with her competitors, but this is definitely a spin on your part.

That is the only thing the MSM is going to report on the GOP side people, “gaffes” and “scandals”. That is all. Get used to it.

My problem with her is that it seemed like she was attacking anybody but Romney.

The MSM won’t report gaffes or scandals from Obama, they will try to make him look Presidential. The GOP side? It’s ONLY the gaffes and scandals they will cover.
