Two Florida Republicans -- though one is far better known for his political career in Arkansas -- are wading into the race for their partys presidential nomination this week.
While no Floridian has ever been added to a national ticket, West said he would be open to running for vice president.

West is a good man, a loyal American who has served his country well...and will continue to do so. Very conservative and I like him a lot.
But, IMHO,he was very premature in calling for Cain to quit the race, and played into the progressive/left’s hands in doing so. We cannot allow ourselves or candidates to be initimadated by disgusting, non-credible, un-substantiated hatchet job attacks into giving up...or they will play that tune against every single one.

Cain/West or Newt/West would do for me!
To: merrylu
Maybe if he’d kept his mouth shut and not said Cain needed to quit. Now, I don’t think so.

West suggested that Cain drop out, so that is unlikely

GRRRR!
I supported West in '08 (w / $$$$),but his (?presumed?) attack (GET OUT!) on
Cain was very troubling...I guess he; angling for VP slot w/ Newt / Myth :(
I'll still support him, despite this "story".

Vice President Allen West + 8 years = President Allen West
That's a math equation to unite and restore the Republic and American greatness!

Did he call on Cain to quit the race or did he answer a question about what advice he’d give to Cain considering the new allegation. There is a difference, and truth comes into play.

Id like to see Congressman West win reelection first. Me too. Am not happy that his district has been reconfigured in a way that makes it about four points less favorable to GOP.
