Last night Alevda King went on CNN to defend Herman Cain. She says she’s known him since 2000 and that he is absolutely not a “skirt chaser”.

Five years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 Kidney Cancer, RCC, and told I had a 5% chance of survival. Believe me, if I wanted to carry on an affair with another woman I could have. Assuming I’d have been able to find one who was willing...but I wan’t interested so I didn’t.

If you had a matrilineal descent from known Jews, you could walk in the door of any synagogue, from Reform to Orthodox, and they’d welcome you as a yiddishe kopf, considering your status immutable. (The Orthodox might want to see some documentation or testimony.)

An election is a public trial. Cain, not some representative, needs to convince the American people he's the one. He needs to deal with all that goes along with that including these allegations. He either needs to fess up and show the fruits of repentance or aggressively go after his accusers publicly demanding specifics and evidence that can be disproved.
Well, it’s my mother’s FATHER side. It gets damned complicated, doesn’t it?? I just sometimes feel that my ancestors are calling out to me to come home. I’ve felt this way for several years now - as did my mother.
Gotta love armchair quarterbacks during election cycles.........
OK, so by Orthodox rules your mom was gentile and couldn’t have passed the race down to you unless she converted explicitly to Judaism before you were born. Reform and Conservative would be easier in their process. The Sephardim are like liberal Orthodox in their approach.
It’s only fair to note, however, that if you hark clear back to biblical times, you see that the Christian church sprang off of the Jewish people. It was decades later, when it began to see significant opprobrium in the synagogues (this guy Jesus went around talking like he’s God! and he even seems to be death-proof! what the hey? the rabbis never prepared us for this!), the church began embracing gentiles in widespread numbers. Your family might disagree among itself, but it ends up being God you have to look for. IMHO, and at least it’s logical.
It’s not about rage. It’s about being a candidate in a national election which is basically a public trial. He’s got to prove to the American people he’s the one. The opposition is going to try to prove he’s not. It’s Cain’s job to either fess up and show the fruits of repentance or confront his accusers demanding specifics or evidence that can be disproved.
And we going to let the MSM get away with claiming to be the jury???
He already made that challenge. He doesn’t have to fill up all the news cycles with it too.
Armchair quarterbacks, judges, juries, we voters are all of the above and should be. These people want to run our country as our representatives because that’s how a democratic republic works. Sure their feet need to be pit to the fire - they certainly will be once they’re in office. Cain’s got to show he can handle this stuff effectively at this stage. So far he hasn’t IMHO.
Remember the filter you are watching this through (I shall generously assume you are not bent on being a troll). Cain hired a lawyer known for being very pugnacious in court... and all of a sudden the story fell off the news media like magic, at least until the latest gal appeared.
If the MSM had the strength of truth they wouldn’t have dodged and punked like this.
No, Cain’s letting the MSM run the show because he hasn’t stepped up and either fessed up and shown the fruits of repentance or confronted his accusers and aggressively demanded specifics and evidence that can be disproved. At that point he’s in the driver’s seat to tell the MSM and his accusers, “Put up or shut up.”
