“How did Newt help to balance the budget before? And what major entitlement did he help to reform? Newt has said he would have voted for Ryan’s budget. Newt supported an individual mandate at the time in OPPOSITION to government run healthcare (Hillary Care), along with Heritage and many other conservatives at the time. Let’s not revise history, shall we?”

...supported an individual mandate ..., along with Heritage and many other conservatives at the time.

BS!

Heritage did NOT support an individual mandate for HEALTHCARE Insurance! The ONLY mandate which they ever supported was the CATASTROPHIC/Stop Loss Insurance (which is ILLEGAL under ObamaCare)! The catastrophic insurance would not have had a minimum nor maximum and it would be up to the heads-of-households to determine their own amount and it would be those same leaders responsibility to have insurance or enough money in the bank to care for one's self! That is NOT in any way, shape or form the same as ObamaCare's mandate; comparing the two is simply disingenuous! It is like comparing apples and orangutangs!

Heritage has stated, more than once, that there are two options for paying for healthcare: pay for your own healthcare or have insurance! Never, EVER have they supported an individual, GOVERNMENT-FORCED, Health Insurance mandate which punishes individuals AND companies for failing to purchase a private product which must be built to minimum and maximum government mandated standards!!

I am tired of this BS being put out there! Get it right - they are not the same! They have never been the same and they never will be the same!
