MIAMI Mitt Romney aggressively criticized rival Newt Gingrich on Tuesday, calling the former House speaker a lifelong politician and questioning Gingrichs ability to fix the countrys struggling economy.
Romney, speaking a day after Gingrich criticized him during a campaign stop in South Carolina, told Fox News that Gingrich wasnt as likely to beat President Barack Obama in a general election.

I can’t get over that it’s down to these two. WTF happened?
So, you think it’s down to “these two”? Weeks before the first caucus? That’s what they want you to think.
Coming from a guy who was born into politics. Newt hasn’t held a political office in 15 years.
It ain’t over till its over. Don’t let the media narrative decide reality.
They both suck.
I cant get over that its down to these two. WTF happened?
I still have faith that the Republicans are not this stupid to nominate either one. Cain/Bachmann 2012!!!! We need these two for true conservatism.
Gingrich isn’t a lifelong politician. He took the last 11 years off to lobby for FNMA
Bachmann? Are you serious? Have you ever heard her say anything negative about Mitt Romney? Object to his record or positions? NO...because she is on his payroll to disrupt the conservative wing of the party in return for... something.
The others weren’t prepared for the rigors of a presidential campaign?
‘future considerations’ as they say in the sports world.
Pot calling kettle, neither one is a conservative.
Where in the h is it written you judge someone on what that say about someone else. Dang, that is childish. Your tin foil hat needs a bit of trimming.

When you awake from your alcohol binge tomorrow perhaps you can state that in English so the rest of us can discern the meaning.
In the meantime...how foolish of me to judge a politician on what they say... “blink, blink”.
God I hate morons.
Yes I have. Do you know how to use google?

They have many articles of her criticizing Romney. They are trying to destroy a great Conservative and you certainly are helping.
No, but he has made a fortune influence peddling, promoting the global warming scam, Medicare D, comprehensive immigration reform and the individual mandate as a Beltway insider. And, actually, it's been less than 13 years.
Sadly this article frames the GOP race from here on in.
Who would have guessed the voters are making the selection not a few upset posters. Better go with the voters.
They both suck.
It doesn’t matter which one wins the nomination.
It doesn’t really matter who wins the election.
Nothing will be fixed. The only difference will be the rate of decline.
Dead Republic walking.
Now, big, don't be so hard on org.whodat as when I awake from an alcoholic stupor...
I don't speak English either.
But then again, when I awake from an alcoholic stupor I speak in either Chinese or Bocce...
depending on whether my houseboy or C3PO wakes me with a cold beer--
Yes, it is my lot in life to suffer...
as I lost a bet to Bender on who Master Luke's father was!
That said, let me add this. During Ronald Reagan's 1966 campaign for governor of California, Republicans established the so-called Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican."
With the help of the Liberal Democrats and their cohorts in the Mainstream Media in pushing this non-stop plethora of debates by the GOP candidates, it is fair game for Republicans to be seen as eating their own.
And here on Free Republic a hostile environment is in full swing as there is tribal warfare between all the factions and with some Freepers, it is a war to the death and the only winner may be Barack Obama.
I wanted Sarah Palin to run but I understood her reasons for not doing so considering the way the MSM, Democrats and even a small faction of the GOP Establishment had poisoned the water for any run she makes. The lies and distortions they spread about her proves how it is to disprove a false negative. And, boy oh boy, have they ever tossed an ocean of false negatives on Sarah!
Now, I like Rick Perry even if I am not in lockstep with everything he says or misspeaks, but his overall politics these past years a Governor of Texas impress me. He is also a victim of the same lie and distortion campaign such as his 'drunk' speech that was a complete fabrication. Anyone who watches the entire speech see that but sadly most are too damn lazy to do so. They just take the word of someone else and join in the pure joy of mudslinging.
Now, there are things that I do not agree with or like about each Republican Candidate but in the final analysis, I will work for Rick and if he does not make it, I shall vote for whoever is the Republican nominee over Obama.
In the meantime, cannot we get back to Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican."
That means work hard for your choice, but don't give the Democrats and MSM ammo to shoot back at us come election day. That could give Obama another four years that may very well mean a death sentence for our republican form of government before he finishes that second term.
I must confess I have broke the 11th commandment myself but while I may poke fun with my irreverent, warped sense of humor, I shall pledge to try and stay within the spirit Ronnie meant for us to follow.
Well said, Bend, and I'll bust...
a few caps here to celebrate it!
Fine and dandy, Rick...
just keep your foot out of the line of fire--
