As you probably heard yesterday, a troubled Atlanta business woman used national media outlets to promulgate a fabricated, unsubstantiated story about a 13 year affair with me. I am writing you today to assure you that this woman’s story is completely false.
I do know Ms. White. I have helped her financially at times over the past few years, just as I have helped many friends and acquaintances throughout the years. I thought Ms. White was a friend in need of a supportive hand to better her life.
Ms. White has made it apparent that she was abusing the friendship.
But now I am asking for your friendship. I am also asking for your prayers and support. This is a trying time for my family, my campaign, and for me. It is also a trying time for our country as we are all distracted from the truly important issues facing our nation.
This evening I have an important speaking engagement at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, where I will be outlining my foreign policy and national security plan. While recent events have taken a toll on me, the people in the audience this evening will not know it. I will deliver my message with vigor and enthusiasm.
Let me assure you, I am not deterred. America’s future is too important. We will continue on this journey to make America great once again.

I’m glad that he has decided to stand and fight. The libs and their RINO accomplices figured out that the Achilles’ heel of Conservative candidates is their families in general, and their spouses in particular. That’s ultimately how they stopped Palin, and now they’re trying to use the same tactic on Cain. It’s reprehensible!

Palin couldn't take it no matter how much we encouraged her so she took a powder. Cain is hanging in there and as long as he does we will too.
FYI - I have only lost two people from the Cain ping list since the hit pieces started on October 31.
The media would like you to think that Cain’s supporters are leaving him. They are not.
An outstanding letter from Cain. He is unequivocal in his denial and leaves no room for later clarifications or claims of being misquoted.
Somebody needs to swear this woman in and have her tell her story under oath so that she can face perjury charges if she is lying.
If she came up with this story out of the blue she needs to be arrested and prosecuted.

My wife would think 61 phone calls and texts to/from a ‘troubled’ woman I was trying to ‘help’ would be more than reprehensible, she would call it grounds for divorce.
IF he is telling the truth here, where is his wife saying she knows this person, she knew Herman was merely being a generous sort of guy by giving her cash, and she has no problem with it? Herman’s explanation does not pass the smell test, and as a former Cain supporter (yes, you can go back a month or two and see my FR postings on Cain),I find it surprising that so many FReepers still support him.
