After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates’ consideration of dropping out of the race.
“Yes,” the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would “definitely” remain in the race.
The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, “We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some people’s minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth,” Cain said.

I, for one, am overjoyed that Mr. Herman Cain has chosen to stay in the race for POTUS!!! Being a “street kid” from head to toe, I know exactly where these attacks and accusations are coming from. Think Obama, Axelrod and the Chicago “dirt bag” Democrat goons & thugs that now inhabit the People’s White House!!! Yep, they, and....the Democrat/Republican establishment want to dagger Herman Cain, because he is simply a Black, politically conservative and successful businessman of color that has proven he can make it big time in America without being a slave on the Obama/Democrat, economic slave plantation. Cain is a direct threat to both Obama and the entire Democrat Party for obvious reasons!!! So....folks, you see Barney Frank calling it quits.....he knows what is coming next November, 2012, and so do at least seventeen other Democrat low life!!! And.....more and more Democrat liberals will not run for re-election!!! If a Cain should make it to POTUS Candidate, millions of Blacks, Hispanics, other minorities will give him about 20-30% of their votes. Tie that in with abour 60% of the white vote, and....suddenly no more Obama and just a very little, tiny Democrat Party that survives the landslide slaughter of freedom, liberty, equality, education, individual opportunity, for all Americans!!! Cain, my brother, hang in there!!! Millions of us just common folks got your back covered!!!
My first thought when seeing the headline was that I expect the Cain detractors will now try to make an issue of the fact that Herman has aides.

Me too. But I got to say his campaign response to this is maddening. I know supporters he lost today... he almost lost me. He needs to stick a thumb in the eye of the media and his slanderers.
He needs to realize that these people are willing to destroy him, his family, his reputation, his fortune and his life if necessary. To Dems (and some RINOs) politics is a blood sport.
He has to show me a lot in the next few days, or he will lose me too.

And a new poll in south carolina shows Newt up 11 points on Cain.
A state that sends Lindsay Graham to the Senate. Yawn.

Things are apt to change when votes start actually getting cast. Right now all we have are debates and media coverage to base these polls on. That’s not enough.
Cain is the last hope for a conservative nominee. Bachmann/Santorum are dead in the polls even though I like then, and Newt is only a conservative of convenience. I will NOT vote for the RINOs Romney/Huntsman/Perry or the nutjob Paul.
Good news as it appears all these women seem to have big time credibility issues. It is unfortunate that his donations have gone way down.
and Newt talks to us like we are mental midgets....the smartest man in the room. Problem is Newt doesn’t know he’s the only BS Artist in the room.
I expect that Cain’s vote numbers will stun and anger his detractors.
