It maybe flip-flopping on Perry's part or it maybe his campaign panicking with only 5 weeks left till the primaries, but it's good flip-flopping. I hope that Perry goes all out on this and makes it clear that he's serious about this..

You'd trust a flip flopping liar then, so why no just vote for Romney? Perry's record and own words show a man who is schizophrenic on immigration.

cradle of freedom: What haven’t patriotic Americans been called? Bigots, xenophobes, nativists and anti-immigrant and much of this came from Republicans. The knife in the back is the deepest cut.

I didn't say Perry was my preferred candidate - I wouldn't vote for him in the primary and there are many things I don't like about him, which is why I put him in the bottom half of candidates I prefer in this primary.

As I said, he needs to apologize for the heartless comment he made about Conservatives since this new stance contradicts the spirit of the Texas DREAM Act that he has supported these past ten years.

For once, flip-flopping is good, and Perry should be given credit for taking such a hard line.

And yes, I fully acknowledge that he may retract his statements about deportation, but at least he's going to make the next debate interesting. It's just a damn shame that his flubbing the national voting age as well as the date of next year's election is overshadowing this.
