COMMENTARY | In 2008, a mystery candidate named Barack Obama made history by becoming the first African American president of the United States.
Today, Obama has a record, a very public record, with very real consequences. Among his most notable achievements: the most deficit spending of any president from George Washington to Ronald Reagan, stagnant unemployment, a record number of Americans living below poverty level and dependent on some form of government assistance and the first downgrade of the U.S. credit rating in United States history all while setting the national record for most rounds of golf played by a sitting president.
Republicans and the tea party tried to warn you. But most didnt listen. They were too busy chanting Hope and Change and calling anyone who didnt buy into it a racist. Now, as all those admonitions of economic and social chaos continue to come to ugly fruition, even Congressional Democrats, liberal pundits, pollsters and once rabidly loyal members of the mainstream media are starting to squirm with discomfort.
Its all about saving face, mind you. They knew the chaos would come too. They just know its just getting harder for them to keep spinning three years of failure into a believable success story without looking like a fool. So now, just as Bush loyalists turned on George near the end of his struggling presidency, the most devoted of Obamas public relations support unit are bailing.
In August, Politico reported Democrat strategist James Carville offering a single word of advice for the struggling president: Panic. On Monday, Patrick Caddell, President Carters pollster, and Douglas Schoen, who advised President Bill Clintons re-election, suggested through an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that its time for Obama to step aside and give the nomination to Hillary Clinton.

Any reason you can’t post the whole thing?
She’ll vote for him again. They always do.
Last time I did, mod changed it to excerpt. Just saving them the trouble.
Don’t be fooled. The vast majority will vote straight ticket dem. Now, I do think Ob has alienated some number of white dems, just not sure how many will bring themselves to vote R.
Woodrow Wilson played a thousand rounds while in office and Ike topped 400 Obama will not get close to 400 and never reach close to 1000 even with a second term. Word in the clubhouse he would be better served working on his jumper though.
Rank and file union members will not turn out for this scam artist again. He just kiiled the Canadain oil pipeline project which some estimated at a loss of 20,000 construction jobs and another 100,000 permanent jobs at refineries. Coal miners should now be aware how his EPA is destroying that industry and the Seaports are sitting idle.
Only federal and state union employees will vote for this guy..
Fair enough. Just axin’. :)
They don't have to do that, they just need to stay home.

Oh my how are they going to explain throwing their messiah under the bus.
Pray Obamma stays in the election. He is a very easy target if he drops out and Clinton becomes the front runner we have our work cut out for us!
Fortunately for Barack, the Beltway wing of the GOP is trying to fix the race for Romney to get the nomination. There may be no better way (short of Ron Paul) to ensure that even the proven loser in our White House can stay in over his head for four more years. Even if Barack loses to Romney, the differences in policy will be small. In Mitt’s defense, I’ll admit that he doesn’t hate America, so he’s a step up from Obama. I’m just disappointed that Romney is so far to the left that he’d be a very small step up.
Right now, almost a year away from the election, we can voice our most heartfelt opinions freely. The closer we get to election day, the more we'll revert back to our political 'us vs. them' and ignore as best we can the ideological 'us vs. them' we live the rest of the time and especially during the primary season.
