Try doing this, then.

Go through the most recent pro-Perry threads, the ones with 200 or more posts.

Put down the names of the rabid pro-Perry posters, the merely strong pro-Perry posters, the lukewarm pro-Perry posters.

Then click on their FR homepages and see how many of them grew up in, worked in, or lived in Texas for at least two years.

Figure out what percentage of the Perrywinkles have a strong Texas connection.

Hint: most (say) Palin fans are not merely Alaskan expatriates.
