The story about the accuser just went live at Fox Atlanta. She gave them her name, an interview on camera, and she claims she has records substantiating the relationship. Heres the curious non-denial denial from Cains lawyer. Hmmm:
Mr. Cain has been informed today that your television station plans to broadcast a story this evening in which a female will make an accusation that she engaged in a 13-year long physical relationship with Mr. Cain. This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace this is not an accusation of an assault which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate.
Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life. The publics right to know and the medias right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of ones bedroom door.
Mr. Cain has alerted his wife to this new accusation and discussed it with her. He has no obligation to discuss these types of accusations publicly with the media and he will not do so even if his principled position is viewed unfavorably by members of the media.

Newt has zero chance in the general. Last time he was on the national stage he slithered away as one of the most unpopular politicians ever. His own party tried to drum him out andhe was reduced to whining like a little girl on the back of Air Force One.

You know... its the timing of this story that interests me - and this woman’s motives. What does she want? Money, fame or notoriety? It doesn’t sound like Cain. But then again, he has allegedly been reckless with his marriage for 13 years. And yeah, I think his wife would know if this was true!

Timing shows to me he is still polling well enough that he is still a serious threat. We gotta be force fed Newt or Romney and this brutha is messing it up

And yet we hear nothing from the media about Bambis homosexual affair with his Paki college student friend and Larry Sinclair and the other gays in Rev. Wrights racist Chicago church, the Mans Country Fag Club/Bath house on the North Side.... etc. What about the murder/execution of the choir members that were also on the down-low with Bambi?
Sounds like you've heard more than enough about that.
Maybe what you've heard is all there is.

Agree but for some reason Republicans actually believe he appeals to independents.
Republicans need to understand why the Media and Press are attacking Cain when they say Newt is on top? They need to understand the Media and Press are NOT their friends. SO they need to quit listening to them and believing their lies.

You are right, but the denial was not in the statement I read and was referring to.

But there was no one who suggested that adultery was a personal matter voters shouldnt be concerned about.
Personally I couldn't care less. So now we've moved beyond charges of sexual harassment that weren't substantiated and we've arrived at adultery charges. I don't care. We're dangerously close to the point of no return in economic terms after four years of Obama and I'm not going to be distracted by personal BS surrounding possible opponents. I'm looking at Cain as a potential employee to take Obama's place in the White House - his marital issues are a matter for him and his wife.

How long was the newt affair on his first wife, how long was the newt affair on his second wife. How many more government workers that we do not know about yet. On one hand you have a man that loves his only wife of 43 years, on the other hand you have a fat slug with a track record and a trophy wife. Who are you gong to believe me are your own lying eyes.

having seen many of the lawyers and cases in the real world courts, it would seem more are about an excuse for a payday jackpot from a fired employee than about actual harassment anymore.
lawyers are just trying to make everything into a harassing statement. (ie may I borrow a pencil, have a nice day, etc.)

Affairs and falling in love with someone else are two different things. Newt had long marriages...longer than most people that I know.
Very different from "something on the side".

I feel sorry for Gloria Cain. She seems like a really nice woman. It must be horrible to have to hear this stuff even if its not true.

You know what, it’s not about morality to me. It’s about being able to manage your life and the people in it.
If someone you had a relationship with for 13 years comes out to get you, there is not much loyalty there. And that concerns me.

his marital issues are a matter for him and his wife. That's what the Democrats said about Clinton.

That's what the Democrats said about Clinton. And who was the only politician that paid for Clinton's foibles? Bob Livingston. I'm tired of playing this game of Republicans having to be holier-than-thou. We had a 'holier-than-thou' President recently, his name was Jimmy Carter, he sucked.

A question that has to be asked of ANY of these accusers is: “Why did you not come forward when Mr. Cain ran for Senate?”
I think it’s a valid question.

That's what the Democrats said about Clinton.
It's what I said about Clinton, too. I don't care about the private lives of these people as long as they live within the law. I'd be happy if the worms in Washington could just be competent public officials with a respect for the Constitution and an understanding of basic economics - right now, that's far too much to hope for.
