Cain has outlined his four problem solving - including empower the states to do what the federal government cant and wont do - as FAR BACK AS 2007 and has reiterated it ALL ALONG In this election cycle.
Solve FOUR problems: 1. Secure the border 2. Enforce the laws on the books 3. Encourage the path to citizenship already in place - starting with entering the country LEGALLY. 4. Empower the states to do what the Federal government cant
Cain is not asking states to CHANGE the federal law but enforce the laws on the books. The laws on the books are NOT AMNESTY.

And I think you are correct. This guy changes his mind as often as changing a baby's diaper. I no longer take him seriously. I pay attention to what he says and it keeps changing.

“2012 is starting to look pretty grim.”
Yeah. i felt this way months ago when Rick Perry was surging then again as Herman Cain was falling down the polls. I feel as though things are not as slam dunk as they felt a year ago. but most of it is because people can’t get behind one candidate. Always divided. So I am expecting different candidates to win the first few primaries. In my mind, I see Bachmann or Gingrich winning Iowa than Romney or Paul winning new hampshire then Cain win South Carolina.
Oh people say they want a generic republican but when it is time to choose then people disagree on who that is.
I also said months ago that i felt that there would be in fightining in the primaries because either there would be hard choices to make or lots of good chocies and people wouldn’t make up there mind.
And this site has been all over the place.

You did evade the question. You have that luxury because you are not running for President, but when asked the question directly you chose to not answer it.
I’ve not answered it either because I don’t know what I think. That’s why I can understand why the candidates are having difficulty with the whole issue. There are reasons to be torn; I think it would help if we all recognized that. Most people who come here illegally should be deported. If they don’t want their family split up then they should come here legally or they should all leave together when the illegal ones are deported. But I don’t know if I’m ready to say that there should be absolutely no exceptions.
I know that whatever exceptions there should be, they should be very, very rare. Like it would be Darfur for them to go back home - which is actually why I think Fast & Furious is arming the Mexican drug cartels: to create a Darfur type situation where we can’t help but see a compelling reason to leave the gate open for people who would otherwise be butchered. It will help immensely when the US stops arming the butchers in Mexico.
Cain should be asked the right question. They all should. That’s what I said.

For me it has been hard settling on Bachmann, cain or supporting someone lese like Gingrich. With Newt, I like some of what he said in some debates, but 50/50 on him. But as the field is scrutinized.... I can only come up with Santourm or gingrich as the two who I like after Bachmann and Cain.

As I have mentioned before,
1 secure the border (How?)
2 enforce the laws (How? the laws don’t demand deportation; would Cain? yes or no?)
3 encourage (How?) the path to citizenship already in place (Does not address the issue of illegals already in place)
4 empower (define!) the states (cop-out platitude!) to do what the fed govt can’t (Why? Cain would be leader of the fed govt, who needs state “empowerment” and if he will need it, what exactly would he empower them to do?)
This morning Cain had the priceless chutzpah to say his campaign has survived due to his SPECIFICITY. “Secure, enforce, encourage, and empower” are NOT specific at all.
Give ME a break, FRiend. WHERE’S THE BEEF? /Clara Peller
Do you say that after reading the original transcripts of what he actually said? If you’re going by excerpts reported by somebody else then you literally have no idea what he actually said, because the reporters are butchering what he said by leaving out critical portions of it.
Ping
Cain lost me when he wouldn’t take a consistent stand on abortion, TARP and gun rights. http://theiowarepublican.com/2011/do-we-really-know-who-herman-cain-is/
profiling and “targeted identification”?
LOL. I hadn’t heard that.
You need to look up the word “evasion.” I IGNORED the question because it’s irrelevant. You asked an irrelevant question in order to distract me. I didn’t fall for it.
I think we’re done now, since we’re on two different roads and I can see your roof needs patching.
If you took the time to read the information I posted, your questions will be ANSWERED:

You can’t lose something you never had. For instance, if I said, ‘I lost a diamond necklace worth a million $ in the backyard’, that would be false. I never had such a necklace, so I couldn’t lose it.
Kindly link me to some of your most pro-Cain posts, back when he still ‘had’ you. I would love to read them. Thanks.
This article says that regarding Immigration and Citizenship that Cain said it would be up to the states...so long as it didn’t break federal law.
The article says the question was about immigration and citizenship and not about deportation. Do you have a link that shows otherwise?
