I think that may be my next gun purchase. Let us know how you like it!
I bought one Friday. Looked hard at the Kimber Solo, The Sig and Kahr. Went with Ruger.
It fts in my front pocket, w/o the extension, haven’t shot it yet.
Fantastic deal on XD9 and XD40 here;

Plus right now Springfield has a bonus of 3 free mags and 1 mag holster:

Best deal I’ve found all year.
A new local gun shop was running a promotion for Black Friday (and through Monday) and was selling all Ruger products for $3 over cost.
Funny thing is, I went in expecting to pay about $400 for an LCR because she has always felt more comfortable with revolvers. We handled and looked at everything. In the end, this one was her choice.
It appears to be a very well made weapon. The DAO trigger pull is very easy and smooth (as opposed to the horrible trigger on my KelTec P11). It comes standard with Hogue grips. Came with only 1 mag but also came with both a flat and pinky extender mag base.
The only real negative (to me) is the slide mounted safety. Who needs a safety on a DAO pistol? Besides, she's a south paw so there is no easy way she could work the stupid thing.
The only other negative is strictly personal choice. I don't like the thin single stack grip. I like a thick grip. But that's a moot point anyway because it's her gun and she likes it.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to provide a range report for probably a couple of weeks. I'm heading out of state tomorrow morning for business travel all week. Won't get home til Friday night and then Saturday is the 1st shotgun season here in Iowa.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the purchase. I believe they are running the special Ruger pricing through Monday. Let me know if you'd like me to forward their website link.
Guns don’t get much more Classic!
Everybody is buying guns and nobody is shooting them.
We want range reports!
That is an excellent price.
That is a great price!
I was going to ask about the DAO trigger. I see that it is 7lbs
I prefer SA/DA but DAO is fine IF it is a smooth pull.
Dat one is yours?
This guy Tom calls any American that stands by the words. Shall not infringe. An extremist. This guy defends leftist aka progressive gun hater gun control laws. He has not once called for the removal of gun control laws.
LOL!!
Oh BS!
Yeah, it's just plain sweet too. I carry it in the winter and the Glock in the hot summer.
Tom Gresham is always fighting for our 2nd amendment rights.
He has been critical of guys like Jim Zumbo who think we don’t need AR 15’s.
I carry a Commander in winter.
SW 442 or CZ82 in summer
You're kidding, right? He's very pro 2nd amendment.
Fer crying out loud, Tom even supports full legalization of silencers.
You may recall I was looking at the EAA SAR .45 `boat anchor.’ Will keep my big CZ and went with this instead.
I plan on shooting it when it stops raining. Lousy weather here in NE IN last couple days, and I’ve been studying the manual.
FYI: Sportsman’s Guide sells a nice Ruger branded clip-on belt holster that is a good fit. I’m looking for a pocket holster, probably Galco horsehide.
And Ruger gives you one mag. One gunwriter said to stay away with Sellier Bellot ammo, everything else is good, esp. Hornady. Ruger says to stay away from +P.
“Tom Gresham is always fighting for our 2nd amendment rights.”
How? By defending gun control laws. That require a permit. Before a person can exercise a right.
Simple solution. Next time gun talk is on. Ask ole Tom. Which gun control laws does he want removed.
