"Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., who calls himself Americas Toughest Sheriff, will endorse Texas Gov. Rick Perry next week, a source with knowledge of the endorsement told ABC News.".......

Doesn’t seem like there are many Cain threads anymore. He was on CNN this morning and didn’t see much about it. Most of the stuff I see are anti-candidate posts. I guess we can expect more as Cain fades away.
rintense, I haven’t seen you here on the spam squad before so I will answer you.
You used to be better informed.
The in-state tuition thing costs Texans nothing. In fact, it helps Texas colleges because they get more tuition dollars.
It is not an incentive for illegals to come. The benefit, if you can even call it that, would not come into play until an illegal had been here long enough to have children old enough to graduate high school.
This was a practical decision by the Texas legislature to try to lift some of our Mexicans out of poverty and into tax paying citizens.
Most illegals in Texas (and every other state) get certain benefits. Every child born in the United States is eligible for food stamps and medicare. Unlike instate tuition, these benefits cost us something.
Almost all the illegal families receiving benefits work. At least one family member works, sometimes two. They don’t make enough money to pay taxes as they work at menial, low-paying jobs.
If you want to harm illegals, take away those benefits. It would be hard because the children are probably U.S. citizens.
Your bringing up this in-state tuition thing makes you look ignorant. It COSTS US NOTHING.
I wouldn’t go so far as to threaten to withhold my contribution, small though it is.
Free Republic has been my friend for 15 years since before there was a Free Republic.
I have never seen it like this.
I know Cain hates Perry and I guess he’s asking his followers to do this. It’s the only explanation I can think of.
Oh well. I thought better of you, too, altura, before you got behind a fraud of a candidate.
Your irrational hatred of Perry is bewildering to me. You only advanced a thin, faulty reason for disliking him.
Is this because you are a Cain supporter and think that by belittling Perry you will somehow get Cain nominated?
That’s not going to happen.
The streets of Texas are littered with the bodies of people who underestimated Perry.
This costly, violent invasion in Texas is now totally out of control.
Perry has been Texas governor for almost 12 years.
Where is all the video over the years, of an angry Perry demanding relief from the Federal Government for Texas citizens, before he started running for POTUS?
Given the circumstance and facts, locating quotes and videos of Perry over the past 10 years should be easy. Lets see Perry making these angry demands of the feds, prior to Perry announcing his run for POTUS.
example of Governor Perrys opposition to misgovernment by the federal government.
That link is Perry's campaign book. You guys can't find anything from 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 etc, etc...You know, during his last 11 years in office.
There should be hundreds of quotes and links..
I wonder where they all went?
You’re right. Cain’s appearance this morning didn’t seem to make a ripple either here or in the press.
I kinda admire his followers for their blind devotion ... and would admire them more if they didn’t come here to attack us.
Who’s your candidate then?
Cain’s history.
Newt probably infuriated you by mentioning something or another about illegals.
Michele and Santorum? No way.
Huntsman? Romney?
Get over your irrational prejudice and come join us. We’ll take you back — no hard feelings.
Did you even read my post explaining the in-state tuition thing or did I waste my time again?
There should be hundreds of quotes and links..
I wonder where they all went?
They're in Perry's prequel campaign books yet to be ghost written.
There's a Perry slogan I hadn't seen yet.
"If you aren't impressed with Rick, he'll kill you."
I'm sure that will turn the tide for y'all.
/s
It’s not a slogan, baby, it’s a fact.
What in tarnation does that have to do with #146?
Well, to you and all my fellow Perry supporters, it’s been briefly amusing knocking down the trolls but it’s gotten a little boring.
So I think I’ll go watch some football.
See you later.
We will have to wait, and see if Gingrich can make through this course, or if he will tumble like Perry. He's definitely not in control, and we'll the damage soon.
Romney is still being led in a red wagon being pulled by Karl Rove, and seems incapable of moving any faster. Some of the other candidates seem to have started the race already stuck at the bottom of the canyon. There's action up ahead, and it's Gary Johnson pulling away from the pack in what must seem like a miracle to Willie Nelson!
Let me guess. His supporters kill them with over the top campaign chutzpah.
The in-state tuition thing costs Texans nothing. In fact, it helps Texas colleges because they get more tuition dollars.
From Heritage.org: These results, however, should hardly come as a surprise: In 2005, it was estimated that the cost to taxpayers of providing in-state tuition in California was between $222.6 million and $289.3 million, while the cost to Texas taxpayers was between $80.2 million and $104.4 million.[xxxi]
And you do also know that those illegals who apply 'may also be eligible for state aid', right? Tell me, who pays state aid?
It is not an incentive for illegals to come. The benefit, if you can even call it that, would not come into play until an illegal had been here long enough to have children old enough to graduate high school.
Yet, Texas is doing nothing to discourage illegals to stay. In fact, Texas is one of 3 states to show a rise in illegals in 2010, and remains 3rd behind California and Nevada with the most illegals
During the fall semester, 12,138 students - about 1 percent of all Texas college students - benefited from the state law granting in-state tuition, according to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Most of the immigrants among those students are illegal, and some others are not legal permanent residents or U.S. citizens.
Texas awarded about $33.6 million in state and institutional financial aid to those students between fall 2004 and summer 2008.
Again, who pays for these benefits? Do you believe in repealing the 14th amendment, or do you believe in continuing to burden the American taxpayer for supporitng anchor babies?
Almost all the illegal families receiving benefits work. At least one family member works, sometimes two. They dont make enough money to pay taxes as they work at menial, low-paying jobs.
They, as well as those who employ them, are breaking the law. But Gov. Perry has done nothing to thwart the hiring of illegals.
If you want to harm illegals, take away those benefits. It would be hard because the children are probably U.S. citizens.
And you don't believe in-state tuition is a benefit??? When you want to get rid of ants, you don't sprinkle sugar all over the floor and still expect them to leave.
Your bringing up this in-state tuition thing makes you look ignorant. It COSTS US NOTHING.
Nothing, huh? Aside from the numbers I posted above, you do realize that every illegal immigrant costs ALL OF US something, whether its an increase in our medical bills, auto insurance, home owners insurance, etc. How about the cost of educating illegals?
Not to mention the number of jobs they take from Americans, or are you going to feed us the McCain lie of 'they do the jobs Americans won't do'?
You're incredible naive, altura. I suggest you take the blinders off your Perry worship and study reality.
It has everything to do with it because I’m trying to get to the root of the Odd Squad and their hate.
I believe it’s coming from Cain supporters, which I suspect you are. However, you are not apparently willing to admit it.
PING! to some more facts for your collection.
Hah!! You are on Liz’s ping list.
You people are sick. If you were worth it, I would refute everything in your post to me.
But you are not.
