Republicans (Mods and Conservatives) don’t want Obama defeated badly enough. (Vanity)

I’m thinking that Republicans really don’t want Obama defeated badly enough. We are very close to pulling defeat from the jaws of victory. Even we Conservatives seem hell-bent on destroying, or helping the media destroy, everyone of our candidates one at a time by backbiting and devouring each other over “one-issue” disagreements. Some Johnny-one-notes have “Abortion” as their issue. For many, it’s “non-Electability” or a candidate is “not a good Debater” or confuses “Elvis’ birthday” with the anniversary of his death. And for a true Conservative, Rick Santorum, he will be undone because, bless his heart, he has the “Charisma” of a foot stool. But, he just might surprise all of us coming out of Iowa.

The big one now, however, is “Immigration” for which Newt is paying a high price for having the courage to be the only candidate, from any Party, to come up with a logical, workable solution to a very complex problem that has been ignored by the last five Presidents. Now we have a monster on our hands. People criticize him but, my question is what is your solution? Deport them all? Are you willing to help car pool 11 million of them back to Mexico?

Enough already!! After the convention, we will proudly send our nominee into the General Election bloodied, beaten and wounded against a united, well funded, Democratic Socialist Party and we will get our butts handed to us on a platter and we will have four more years of President Obozo. Many Conservatives have threatened to stay home on Election Day if their guy or gal is not the nominee. But, by golly, we would have “made a statement”. Well, the only problem is, you always find people who “made a statement” in the “Lost Column”.

This is par for the course for an out-of-office party. The winnowing process is essential to avoid another McCain, another Dole.

" What’s your solution GeronL. Seriously, I’m open to hearing a viable, workable solution. "

Vote Herman Cain : cutting through all the unnecessary talk and actually getting things done.

There’s a difference in being pissed off and hand wringing. I’m not hand wringing. I’ve resolved myself to the fact that if Obozo is reelected, we deserve what we get. My home, land, vehicles and everything I have is paid for. I’m set. So, let the good times roll baby. And I am working my a** off to insure that Obozo does not get reelected. Working with the Tea Party, posting to over 1100 friends on Facebook regularly, writing letters to the editor, talking to at least 10 people a day (my own personal goal I set for myself)..... That’s a portion of what I’m doing. Now, what are you doing?

Simply put, I will vote for whoever ends up as the GOP nominee - even Ron Paul (yech).

Whether it be Romney, Cain or Santorum, they will be a significant improvement over the assclown we have in the White House right now.

Stage one: promote the strongest anti-romney conservative
Stage two: if unfortunately romney wins, join the anti-obama coalition by supporting romney. Work to force romney into adopting conservative policies.
Stage three: if obama wins, no normal and peaceful restoration of the republic is possible. Support revolution and secession. Leave the US if necessary.
If we unfortunately arrive at stage two, and you do not join the anti-obama coalition, you are giving up on a peaceful restoration of the republic.

I really wish the Republican candidates would just respond to these immigration questions with a simple “I will enforce the laws on the books”. We have the laws to deal with illegals and immigration issues, they just aren’t being enforced.

These immigration fights are designed and/or encouraged to make Republicans look like they hate Hispanics. Instead of falling for the trap, we should talk about how much we value LEGAL immigrants and simply declare that existing immigration laws will be enforced.

I’ve been reading “Path to 270.... The Demographics of the 2012 Election”. Don’t kid yourself. With a $Billion war chest and the demographics the way they are, and with States like NY, CA, IL and many other small States in his back pocket already.....DON’T UNDERESTIMATE OBOZO AND THE CHICAGO ELECTION THUG BRIGADE!!! It will be a close election even if unemployment is 11 percent. Yes, you can compare Obozo to Carter with re: to policy. But, Carter was not the political thug Obozo and his Chicago machine are.

Some of us will have the pleasure and responsibility of fighting against Obama behind their chosen candidate, and others will only have the responsibility of fighting against Obama behind a candidate they’re not really in love with... I am already trying to get my head and heart around that, and it isn’t easy, at least not for me. No matter, everybody has to show up for the fight... that is my prayer.

By the way, Obama is NOT “my” man-child. And, I resent the implication. As a matter of fact, he is a Marxist Muslim with an anti-Christ spirit. Never call him “my” man-child again. Thank you.

I’m pretty sure the entire posting population of Free Republic could stay home and the result of the election would be the same as if they’d voted.

"That’s a portion of what I’m doing. Now, what are you doing?"

Glad to hear you're doing more than sitting at the keyboard. I'm an active committee representative in my township. We just wrapped up a local election, and I'm taking a breather before the next round. I've been active in our local tea party from early on, although family and other responsibilities have made it harder more recently. I talk to a lot of people, and am doing my utmost to raise good kids. I recently returned to school to make a career change into teaching. That will be interesting . . .

We have a registration disadvantage in this township and county, unfortunately. There is a lot of D money flowing into our area, and I anticipate a lot of walking, talking, and messaging work in the next year. We have a lot of reflexive D voters here. They usually live far more conservatively than they vote. It's very frustrating sometimes but we keep working it.

#1. Rubio would carry FL for the GOP ticket. If we lose FL, we lose the White House. Do a Google Search and read: “The Path to 270” (The Demographics of the 2012 Election.)

#2. A lot of Conservatives love Rubio. He has a soft spot for immigrants because he is Cuban; no explanation needed. But, he is also a man of principle.

We saw a lot of money flowing into our county commissioner race this November in support of the D ticket. I don't think it was all locally donated - not by a long shot. Our tax dollars have been going into all sorts of pockets since January 2009, and we have to assume they will be used to fund the opposition. I agree we can't afford to under-estimate them.
