... Gingrich paused the line of about 500 people waiting to have books signed to take Katrinas questions. He leaned in endearingly, with his hand to his cheek, letting down his usual gruff Speaker of the House guard.
Have you met a president? If so who was your favorite one?
My favorite president is George Washington, Gingrich said. Ive met Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Obama and myself, but Im not president yet but with your help I might be.

I completely agree with you in the above comments.
While Speaker Gingrich won't get my vote in the GOP primary election in Texas, this is a heart warming encounter with a young citizen that is very endearing.
Newt has been practicing a loving relationship with his precious grandchildren (Robert and Maggie) and it shows in his gentle body language and attention he gave Katrina.
Its a good thing that 8 year old cant vote !
lol
Go Cain!
LOL... It’s a good thing that Cain doesn’t have to debate that 8 year old.
Go Newt......!!
And 8 year old believe in Santa too. How is this news?
Don’t know if some posters on this thread are “clingers” but they are certainly “bitter”.
Cain was judged to have won many of the early debates, only after the media judged him a threat and they started ignoring him during the debates and/or only asking him gotcha questions has he not been deemed the winner. They even went to far as to limit the debates to the one topic they preceived that Cain was weakest on in their pathetic attempt to make Cain seem not up to the job, but it hasn’t worked.
Cain is still going strong, while Newt is last weeks news now that he has exposed himself as pro amnesty.
Go Cain!
Politics/Elections
“They even went to far as to limit the debates to the one topic they preceived that Cain was weakest on.... “
That wouldn’t be tough to do.
Newt will likely win the nomination, but of course if he doesn’t, it will be a Romney, not Cain.
I wish your candidate good luck, but I wish Newt even better luck. ;>)
Cheers....
add another bush and subtract dunham the usurper.
I thought it was the demwits who registered 8 year old voters.
“Cain is still going strong, while Newt is last weeks news now that he has exposed himself as pro amnesty.”
Only time will tell if the “amnesty” issue will hurt Newt. I don’t think it will matter that much. Bottom line is that one way or another there is going to be some form of “amnesty” granted to long time illegal residents of this country. The key is doing it in a logical fashion.
I don’t like “illegals” being here, but the level of xenophobia on this forum gets scary at times.
Eight years old seems to be the mental maturity level of his supporters across the board.
Willard’s seem to run between four and six.
Oh, gawd. She's not going to start posting Newt threads on FR, is she?
- Oh, gawd.
She couldn’t do worse than that.
If she does she will undoubtedly be called an ignorant RINO slut by the purists.
