I just watched a movie a couple of nights ago ( from Redbox) called “Sarah’s Key” that should be watched by all FReepers, Americans, and French citizens. It’s about the active, deliberate participation of the French (occupied) government in the NAZI Holocaust (1942), by arresting and transporting to Germany of 76000 Jews, FROM PARIS.
Sounds like an interesting film. I think that over 12,000 of the Jews deported from Paris were children. A bit over a year ago, I was in the Faubourg-Montmartre district of Paris. Near a synagogue, I saw a memorial plaque that made mention of that statistic.
