NAPLES, FL -- Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich defended his immigration policy after days of criticism from other GOP contenders reiterating that he does not support amnesty -- on Friday night before his largest crowd yet on the campaign trail.
"I am not for amnesty for anyone. I am not for a path to citizenship for anybody who got here illegally," Gingrich told the crowd of roughly 750 people, many of whom were forced to stand in the hallway...........
"I think the vast majority [of illegal immigrants] will go home and should go home and then should reapply. I do not think anybody should be eligible for citizenship,".....

Sir, isn’t it about time to get a better hold on your website, so the Romney Shills and DNC operatives do not define your conservative venue the way they find it suits their agenda?

Oh Really ? are you serious ? Hate filled ?
All talk...
Why don't you just come and visit the neighborhood I live in with all the drug lords, crime, and illegals here....
Let's see how really brave you are.
I got to live with this every single day hoping that the next gun shot that goes off is not my mother, my family, or me just going to our cars and going to the store..
It's so easy to be critical while living in a gated community looking at this from afar.

Dood ... SRO is SRO. If 750 was all that could stand in the room, Jesus could have showed up and that is all that would have been there.

Yes, I’m serious. Well, in your case, it’s either fear or deceit. I suspect you’re a Romney or Obama worker. You have company presently, framing Freerepublic as your camp sees it best marginalized.

I lived overseas.
When I renewed by visa, I had to actually leave the country and come back in ... legally.
We should do that. Anyone not able to come back in legally, should not come back in.
Why America should not do this just like every other nation, is just plain stupid.

Ok,, put your money where you mouth is, I challenge to go to the city police department and check it out for yourself and come to our neighborhood, that is ? if your brave enough..
Jim Robinson knows who I am, and I am surely not working for Mitt Romney or from the D.N.C.... go ask him your self..
You ALL TALK...

For your twisted information, I pinged to the imagery in post #67. That you welcome such imagery says a lot about you, not me or Jim Robinson.

RE :"
All the people who are soft on illegals and are in favor for this Newt plan, why don't they come and visit the neiborhood I live in and live in a crime ridden neiborhood every day where you got to duck bullets getting to your car, or worry if your mother will be the next victim of either the druggies robber her of her money or just plan shooting her because they feel like it. Why don't they come to my neighborhood and see all the illegals all over the place.... that's the reality I got to live with every single day here...."
sjb lives not far from the Mexico border in Arizona. He can testify how the wave of daily illegals are brightening up his area of the country doing volunteer charity work, and donating to charities, helping the elderly, ...etc... right??.
Newt just says things without thinking them out. That is why some here think he is a great debater. Sure, if a illegal is here 25 years with American grandchildren kicking him out sounds tough; until you try to talk about what giving him amnesty, or purposefully letting him live in the shadows really means.

If it was fear I would have moved out of this neighborhood a long time ago.
Like I said, I challenge you to go to our city police department and check it for your self and see....
It's so easy to be critical living in a nice safe gated community where you don't have to live with this crap every day.... we can't afford to move out of this neighborhood, and I am physically disabled..

YOU replied to me???? WHY???? Your post was in a reply to #1, how did you get me into that???? You have another type of ping list or something to get your view across?
I support NEWT GINGRICH. If I did not respond to any of your posts in the thread, it was because I disagree with you and see no need to be-labor the issue. You are not going to win your arguement with me.
Take me OFF you Anti NEWT ping list, please.

Its a lot easier to deny them the right to vote than to hunt them down, incarcerate them, prosecute them, and deport them. One function is administrative, and gets a lot of scrutiny every election. The other would require billions of dollars, raising an army, building concentration camps to hold detainees, creating a whole new court system just to handle the volume, and getting compliance with Mexico to take them back (which Mexico has fought in the past).
Denying the right to vote is fairly simple ... if resident registers to vote the state runs the list against federal records. If they are found to be a Green/Red card holder, their registration is invalidated and they are purged from the voter list. If they actually do vote and it is not found out until later, then they are prosecuted. This last year I ran a campaign, and I stopped and spoke to a lot of people who were Green card holders and they knew this implicitly. This is the way the law works now.

Apparently you have never heard of the ACLU or the U.S. judicial system.

Boy are you naive.
Illegals already vote, and in large numbers. They have already flipped elections in Virginia (Webb), Minnesota (Frankin), and California (Sanchez).
If you can't stop them from voting now, while they are illegal, what makes you think you can stop them when they are here in a legal status?
