And still, it will be our fault if one of these enemy sympathizers gets a stubbed toe.

So...if we had a carrier and a destroyer there, and they totally unleashed...how long would Syria last...in minutes?

I dunno, it’s not like W is doing all this WarMongering, Inc.
Cheney, either. The Middle East needs to re-think their alliances with and allegiances to Hussein, stat.

CVN 77 George H.W. Bush has left its traditional theater of operations just off the Straits of Hormuz, a critical choke point, where it traditionally accompanies the Stennis, and has parked
right next to Syria.

The Middle East needs to re-think their alliances with and allegiances to Hussein, stat. Too late, the already accomplished purpose is to have America perceived by the world as unreliable and untrustworthy.

Obama must get the Muslim Brotherhood their Caliphate before he's evicted from the White House.

Obama is playing tough, trying to deflect from his arab spring stance, where he enabled all the bad actors.
Suddenly he backs the Syrian protesters.
Libya, Tunisia and Egypt were a farce.
Perry is right, we should be doing this. Turkey and the Arab league back this.
Obama is doing this **** for show.
Prayers for the folks on that Carrier. We have a real cluster**** now.
Why did Obama ignore the protests in Iran?
The only reason this turd is calling Syria out now is that he will try to pin any failure on Perry.
And as CIC I guarantee that Obama will provide failure in Syria.

Obama is doing this with full knowledge that he will have all troops removed from Iraq next month.
It is a wag the dog effort. All but 2 carriers are back home in port.
He has no intention of overthrowing Assad.
If he did he would not be dismantling forward bases in Iraq.
The same stands true for Iran.
Obama is wasting our efforts on purpose, and you mark my words he will attempt to draw Perry into this looming failure.

You mean besides concern about it being the nuclear laboratory of Islam? None.

Syria and Iran are the only resistance we have in dividing the Middle East from Turkey to the Persian Gulf with freedom.

And as Txhurl points out, these are the bad actors on the forefront of developing nukes.
You know damn well that Iraq’s weapons were moved to the Bekka Valley
