Still not sure why Newt trotted out this controversy at a point where he was 30% up. But according to the NYT, this has always been his view:
“Mr. Gingrich, who takes Spanish classes and has started a bilingual Web site, The Americano, was not offering a new position. But his long-held view was suddenly receiving scrutiny because he has emerged as a leading candidate for the nomination.”
Yup. Gingrich IS a liberal. Some call him a moderate. The more conservatives learn about where he stands, the less they will like him. He has a lot of baggage and he is politically radioactive with his amnesty comments. He will never beat Obama.
He already has himself at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. He is appointing his Cabinet, nominating his Judges and writing his Executive Orders.
One thing he forgot, WE the people get to vote first.
Maybe he wanted to be truthful instead of feeding us bullshit.
I was watching the debate and saw him. In my opinion, he was cocky about it too, sort of like daring law-abiding Americans to cross him.
I'm really tired of all the criminal apologists trying to turn ordinary Americans into 'heartless meanies.' Not only are we the enemies of the Left, but of most of the ones who call themselves Republicans.
