The newtbots on here don’t want to acknowledge Gingrich is a slight bit more articulate Romney clone. He hasn’t flip flopped but when he changed his views and became a moderate, they have been horrendous. And he has associated with people I would care to give to the time of day: Pelosi, Sharpton and Jihad Norquist. I won’t vote for an Open Borders Republican. If we don’t secure our borders, this country has no future. Some people still don’t want to get it!

Who would sit around with these characters and act all chummy? Newt’s from the Northeast and he acts just like a Northeastern liberal. Like you said, they might as well vote for Romney if that’s what they support.

Newt is worse than Romney.

First he is a corrupt insider as shown by the money he got from Fannie/Freddie and his ethics problems while in Congress. He is what the Tea Party is against and voted out in the 2010 election.

Second, Romney has gone to the right. Newt has gone to the left. And Romney is not a serial adulterer.

I am supporting Cain and have given him money. But if forced to choose between Newt and Romney, Romney wins hands down.

Let’s not paint ourselves into a corner. Eleven months from now are
we going to go third party, sit on our hands or vote Obama? If we dig into hard and fast positions it’ll spell the end of the Tea Party.

Newt Gingrich only offered the suggestion to allow an illegal who has been in the USA for 25 years working, paying taxes, raising a family be allowed to stay in this country. Some on this site are going bonkers over his suggestion that this means citizenship. Gingrich did not say this. He said nothing about supporting an "open border". He asked that we treat people with compassion if they are deserving. Some questionable conservatives on this site are always only too happy to delineate how America was formed by God fearing people who recognized religious values, etc. These people better take another look at Who Jesus Christ is and what He said was necessary to live a moral life by His standards. Newt Gingrich did not suggest we give amnesty to illegals. He has only suggested some brotherly love be extended to the qualified.

I agree with you totally, but when we speak of securing our borders we also have to mention internal enforcement because the open borders weasels like Gingrich, McCain and others have caught on that everybody knows that the borders are violent and out of control, but they are still trying to sell the “compassion” for illegals nonsense.

Enforce our laws using E-Verify and other laws that make it difficult for them to remain here and they will deport themselves. As far as being “humane” with illegals, it is their responsibility to deal with their problems. Let them go to immigration lawyers and let them pay it them with their own money. It is THEIR problem, not ours.
