I’m sure they’ll be joining all those federal GS employees they’ve been laying off. Oh, that’s right, they’ve been hiring those. Democrats think the military is Republican and federal GS employees are Democrats. It doesn’t have anything to do with defense needs. It’s all politics.

All fed employees are not GS. We get bashed a lot on FR. The Corps alone is cutting 13% of its civilian work force, and not over a ten year period. In my field there will be at least a 30% reduction in the civilian work force over the next two years. They are not being replaced by military members either. All Fed employees are not making 100K or more a year. Most around here are working for between $8 and $12 per hour. If you are in intel, IT or working inside the beltway, you are getting 90K plus a year. Intel requires a special clearance very few other civilians have, ITs are in demand because of cyber warfare, now inside the belt way is where you find your blotted civilian work force. I hold three degrees and have 30 years experience and I know for a fact that a union baggage handler at O'Hare makes more than I do. Hell, my wife is a Nurse and they make more than she does! DoD civilian employees will be hit and hit hard and it will impact the quality of life of our service members.
