So, are you going to vote for him if it comes down to Newt vs Obama?

You seem to have a plan. What is it, and if you have none why are you writing?

With things going his way, I didn't understand why he would make that controversial statement yesterday. Perhaps, he has decided the rest of the conservatives have been disabled-- and he's now aiming to take the Establishment GOP from Romney.

Or perhaps sincerity, principle and courage. Is it impossible that he could be presenting himself honestly to the voters?

Sola, I respect your view- but, I honestly puzzled over Newt’s statement. He didn’t have to say it- it was risky, still might be. Why even take the risk? But, now that I see my man, Mr. Cain, at 6% — who among the remaining conservatives can challenge Newt?

The strategy still might backfire— we’ll see. But, I’m thinking Newt’s telling the money people in the Establishment to get on board because he’s more viable than Romney.

That said, I still think that Mr. Cain provides the best opportunity for the constitutional conservative movement.

Time for a 3rd party in America if Gringo or Mittens win.

Yes. We could call it the "Obama Guaranteed Re-Election (OGRE)" Party.

Well, we know where Newt stands on the ones here for 25 years ...so where does he stand on the ones who just crossed over in ten or less years — even in the last eight years?

What are the specifics on THEM, because, IMO, it is these people who are younger, sucking up more welfare and benefits, reproducing anchor babies faster, and taking more jobs from Americans right now.

What’s he going to do about them? He doesn’t really accentuate that, and prefers more to highlight some obscure segment of illegals. What is up with that?

And how did these long-term illegals pay taxes anyway? When I fill out my taxes, I need a social security number. Do they have social security numbers? How do they pay taxes?

I think Newt deserves a special interview on network news in which he could clarify all of these questions. Really.

Newt? NAHHHH! -:)

Newt was the guy who demanded that all perspective citizens learn English, learn the founding documents and otherwise commit to Americanism.

No, I think he sees a path to the Presidency- and I think he intends to pick up Sen. Rubio or Gov. Martinez.

Nothing wrong with that- I wish him luck. My preference was Mr. Cain- but I think Newt has the potential to be a great President.

worthless poll since it was done before Gingrich revealed himself to be for amnesty last night.

Another biased professional marketing poll in favor of the democrats. They know we will not line up to vote for a Rino. and Newt is a major Rino. Sorry Netroots.

"I WILL NOT VOTE FOR NEWT!"

Well, swell - hope you enjoy Obie's second term.

Gen. Washington isn't coming back but people like you wouldn't vote for him if he did.

“I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and lived here, even though sometime back they may have entered illegally,” Ronald Reagan , 1984.

Mr Reagan is dead, he also made ignorant decisions on nuclear energy and the kobart towers, no one is perfect. You do not reward illegal activity. .

Not arguing for amnesty, I don’t believe in it. Just putting Newt’s comments in some badly needed perspective.

Newt can rid us of Obama and save this country. That’s the bottom line.

With all these low poll numbers, I guess Cain is satisfactorily destroyed by the MSM.

I'm going to say something that is unpopular, especially since I was on the Cain Train. The MSM went to battle with Herman Cain, but Mr Cain's & Mr Block's responses were what hurt Mr Cain the most. I won't say destroyed, because I don't believe he's out.

Not many believed that sexual harrassment tripe, and if they did, they were never going to vote repub anyway. I didn't even mind the first few days of bungling. But I really had a hard time with the Cain campaign blaming Perry's campaign and never offering an apology. I'm not a Rick Perry fan, but that was just wrong.

I also think Cain was weak last night though I realize this poll doesn't reflect that.

I have no problem with what Gingrich said last night. At least he's got the balls to take a stand he believes even if it's unpopular. He's not like that slick Mittens who will say anything to get into the voter's pants.

Absolutely!!! have you ever heard Cain or Bachmann expand on how they plan to deport 20 million illegals? that come from not only Mexico but around the world? buses? planes? ships? the old dirge of “build a fence” is something Newt agrees with along with a federal data bank..at least Newt has been honest and expanded on this issue. Anyone that listened or has read Newt’s solutions KNOWS that he is not for granting amnesty to families that have lived her for 20 yrs or so...but he is for putting them through a process wherein they may obtain citizenship after they are fined and they have to go to the back of the line.
OK ..Cain and Bachmann folks...how are your candidates going to round up the 20 million? and the magnet defense is not an answer

Doesn’t matter what the poll says today, give it a few more days and take another poll ... Newt did it to himself with his comments last night related to illegal immigration .. he just lost me, he is going to lose the nomination now... I suppose some fools can try to revisit the Reagan amnesty to try and make an excuse for this, really stupid in one way, fundamental mistiming and blunder - the situation isn”t the same as back when Reagan made a mistake... there were 6 million illegals back then ... today there are more than 20 million ... probably 25 to 30 million... And do you notice how the establishment has been using the 12 million illegals number since Bill Clinton 1992? Your telling me the number hasn’t changed since 1992? Newt won”t be the nominee now, and ask him to come to my town and clean up all the spray painted crap all over our towns and parks from Mexican gangs.. Newt blew it.
