Obama hasn't talked about what the returning troops are going to do. I'm sure that many will not be at the end of their enlistments.
Is Obama going to just dismiss them early? Is he going to let them rot at their bases until they become disgruntled and leave?
Somebody should press this matter more. Let's see what Obama is thinking next.

BTW, Governor Perry gets all stepped on for the "heartless" word. Gingrich says we have to be "humane" in not deporting the aliens. Therefore, if we conservatives take a stand against deportation we are "inhumane", right?

Me too ...Newt's not willing to give them citizenship which means they cannot vote...that's the deal or go home. It also limits other things that only a citizen has "rights" to.
To me it's fair because they came here knowing they were breaking our laws. So the "penalty" fits. Also they will be tracked..and I like that idea as well.

There is some thought though among Republicans that somehow, they need to capture the Hispanic vote. The comments by Newt and Perry are obliquely directed to that part of the population. Republicans have sensed for some time now, to their credit, that the Hispanic vote goes to the Democrats be default, and they are struggling to find ways to overcome that handicap.
