Interesting that Romney is actually going down for the first time in a long time. I got a call from the RNC yesterday asking me to support them again this year. I responded that I would give no money until Romney was out of the running. I would give no money to any party that would support someone like him.

Cain blew it. He came through the bimbo eruption with flying colors. The race was his to lose, and he snarfed it on foreign policy questions. It wasn't that he had a single fumble, but that he didn't get any right on the first try.

My problem with Newt is the opposite of Cain. He is great on foreign policy, but I have problems with the women in his past. Specifically Nancy Pelosi and Dede Scozzafava. How many times does this guy have to stab conservatives in the back before they realize he can't be trusted.

There is nobody left that I like. I could vote for Cain or Newt. If its Romney I'm only voting for down ticket races and giving my money directly to candidates I support and ignoring the party. Heck I'm from Illinois so my presidential vote doesn't count anyway. But if enough people close their wallets to the Romney backing party elite they might get the message.

“The race was his to lose, and he snarfed it on foreign policy questions”

That was the MSM reaction to his response, so everyone thinks he’s “out”.

What if MSM had done the same to Obama, for any number of things?

MSM is running this primary.

“giving my money directly to candidates I support and ignoring the party”.
This is what I do now too, Gonzo. If the RNC supports Rinos, which they currently do, they will not get one plug nickel from me.
Research the core Conservative candidates around the country who have a chance of winning in key races...and contribute what we can to help them.
Only problem with this is that you get on their mailing lists for life! :-)

I think that Cain had a good recovery last night. Syria does depend on its oil exports for hard currency, and getting Europe to cut them off would hurt that regime. A blockade would work even better.

I think you are letting the leftists and the MSM do your thinking for you. Is Herman Cain a perfect candidate? Of course not. Does his political inexperience render him less able to reel off policy soundbites? Sure. But what does the President actually do? What qualities make someone a good President? These are the important questions.

I read that IL Democrats are removing at least a half dozen of your Republican U.S. House seats there through reapportionment.
