PERRY: Eric Holder must go - Attorney general should resign or be fired
Washington Time ^ | November 21, 2011 | Rick Perry

Ever since the Department of Justice’s gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious became public, the Obama administration’s response has been slow and infuriating. Of particular concern is Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.’s lack of candor concerning what he knew and when he knew it.

This is not a typical case of bureaucratic bungling. A 40-year-old Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry, and possibly a U.S. immigration agent, are dead because of a horribly ill-conceived Justice Department operation that went tragically wrong.

Hundreds of Fast and Furious firearms have been implicated in criminal activity, and another 1,400 firearms are on the street because the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives engaged in gun-walking - the selling of firearms to straw purchasers in an attempt to locate major weapons traffickers in Mexico. This controversial tactic, involving thousands of weapons, means that brave law enforcement personnel along the border remain at risk.

As details come to light, a larger shadow has been cast on Mr. Holder. When initially asked under oath to say when he first knew about Fast and Furious, Mr. Holder told the House Judiciary Committee on May 3, “I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

But the evidence casts serious doubt over that claim. First, President Obama had commented publicly on the operation, noting on March 22 - more than a month before Mr. Holder’s sworn statement - that an inspector general had been assigned to investigate the matter.

[SNIP]

.....America simply cannot tolerate an attorney general who arms the very criminals he is supposed to protect us from and then refuses to comfort the grieving parents of a slain Border Patrol agent. Nor can we tolerate a president...

Right: Holder belongs in jail.

If the media which has spent the last year investigating Republican candidates spent half that time investigating Obama and Holder, they would both be in jail.

It is astounding the way they have given our first Muslim President a pass on his past.

I’ve been thinking about the LONG “pardon” list (that I’m sure is being compiled as we speak). It will be something like we’ve never witnessed before.

If there is a pardon list , I suggest we extradite him to Mexico for ‘enhanced interogation’.

They will be given the golden ticket of a pardon for their support of this administration.

Sickening.

Per SD
This is just how Rick Perry is. After Hurricane Ike devastated my community, he came here to survey the damage. He did not just walk through here surrounded by security and news cameras and then make a speech. That's not Perry. He showed up in jeans and a work shirt, no cameras, no press conference, and he walked among all of us who had been hit. A hug, a pat on the shoulder, a listening ear, and an encouraging word. He saw to it that emergency shelters were being set up and food and water were available to everyone. When Obama/FEMA refused to help us, Governor Perry set up state funding to help us rebuild our homes and our lives. My home is at 'ground zero' where Ike came ashore. We all took tremendous damage. FEMA sent me a check two months later for $600 dollars. Governor Perry set up the Recovery Fund to help us all rebuild. That is what a true leader and a true Christian does. That's my Governor! I can't wait to see America under the caring wing of Rick Perry.

I agree, Holder should go.

I am now convinced however, that nothing will come of this.

It's sad really when you consider everything that we now know about this operation. A conspiracy to push unwanted gun control measures on the American people and the attempt to circumvent the 2nd amendment with an illegal gun running operation into a foreign country that resulted in the deaths of 2 Americans and possibly thousands of Mexican nationals. What this administration did broke hundreds of laws in what could be viewed as an act of war against Mexico.

All for the sake of a political agenda to keep a promise made to gun grabbers.

Now it looks like they will get away with what in my opinion the the greatest scandal in the history of American politics!

You shouldn’t refer to yourself as “devout”. It shows a lack of humility.
