The Occupy movement is stepping up its confrontational tactics, plotting alternative forms of protest, including flash mobs that can be deployed nationwide.
Citing the success of last weeks so-called Day of Action protests, Take to the Square, one of Occupys main online planning forums, has devised an Alternative Day of Action to coincide with international Human Rights Day on Dec. 10.
Our freedom and dignity are under attack as a result of market dynamics and corrupt government institutions that are turning our local and global societies into increasingly unjust places, the site complains.
The Occupy forum calls for alternative forms of protest and new forms of action with a creative spirit.
Among the proposed actions: We can organize public forums, workshops and flash-mobs; we can promote the movement at local schools and neighborhoods or get in contact with humanitarian organizations working with the same goals.
A flash mob refers to a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place to perform a collective act and then disperse.
While flash mobs have been organized in the past for entertainment purposes, such as for satire or live television shows, recently the concept has also been used for criminal intent.
Flash mobs of mostly teenagers have reportedly attacked random targets in Philadelphia, Maryland, Cleveland, Chicago, and Washington, D.C. Philadelphias recently reelected mayor, Michael Nutter, imposed strict curfews in response to the incidents.

I agree and it's clear the recent crackdown was recommended by the WH because it was starting to get embarrassing to Democrats. Last week's march was pretty much a bust.
There will probably be some more death rattles and the threat of violence is still there, but the direction is aimless and pretty much all but the hard core kooks have dropped by the wayside.
Random? No, usually stores which the mobsters rob. Though they have been used in violent attacks, as at the Wisconsin State Fair, to attack those of inconvenient pigmentation. No reason they couldn't be used to single individuals based on religion or presumed affluence.
Why aren’t Skeeters, the high-pitched whining devices only hearable by people under 30 being used on these freeloaders?
Even the biggest flash mobs pose no challenge for a modern machine gun squad.
Is anyone taking note at all that the title includes “mob,” what we’ve been saying all along?
Don’t know. Personally I’d use bear bangers or screames on them, but the pen fired ones are hard to get in the US. Anyone can hear them, including us old people, but they’d be effective. If you’re not familiar, you can find them on google or youtube. Probably not legal, urban area would certainly find a reason to object.

Thanks grey_whiskers. Guess It’s time to invest in some, uh, technology.
You’re right. And from time to time the Jesse Jacksons still bring that up like there is undisputable truth that it happened.
obama’s tied publicly to this.
could be his downfall
next year as the riots spread nationwide.

I thought Obama was in Asia.
Big Fat Placemark for tomorrow.
Honestly...
Some day this is going to get out of hand...And it won’t be us pulling the trigger on what happens next...Pardon the pun...
muzzle flash > flash mob
Another point to makre is this...
Since the left likes to compare the similarities of the Tea Party/Occupier rallies...
If someone were to assess the positive/negative economic impact that the Tea Party rallies had to the impact the Occupiers had on the affected communities where those events took place...
That might illustrate a few things I would imagine...
A specific point, does anyone recall what the cost of cleaning up defication on the streets/sidewalks and parks where the Tea Partiers partied???
Did the Tea Partiers pretty much pay their way for food and drinks in local establishments, or did it cause any loss of revenue in local businesses due to the interruptions cause by the Tea Partiers???
Seems to me that the Tea Partiers cleaned up after themselves, and were an economic boom for local businesses...
Whereas the Occupiers had to be pepper sprayed to get them to move so that local governments had to clean up after them and their deposits left on the streets, sidewalks and parks...
Just something that crosed my mind this morning...

IMO...part of the Cloward/Piven strategy of costing as much $$$$ as possible to the local governments. Also requiring lots of police costs a boatload.
Mark my words that the fascists in our government will soon use "terrorism" as a means to eliminate our firearms and the right to protest whether it be the TP or OWS. Terrorism is already used as a excuse to have a DHS gestapo monitor and control us. They'll use a few false flags to sway public opinion.
If they can make protest illegal we're in deep doo doo, because it means that the US Constitution is just a piece of paper that means nothing.
Why haven't they ever gone after the real terrorists such as these LA street gangs and criminal flash mobs, and white collar financiers that took trillions from us.
