DES MOINES, Iowa — A gathering of religious conservatives in Iowa Saturday night turned into one of the most emotional moments of the 2012 primary season when two presidential candidates — Herman Cain and Rick Santorum — both fought back tears while telling personal stories about the most challenging moments in their lives.
Cain, whose wife, Gloria, was in the audience, spoke about being diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in 2006, stopping several times during his re-telling of the story to compose himself.
“I can do this,” Cain said he told his wife moments after getting the cancer diagnosis from his doctor. “She said — ‘we.’”
Fellow candidate Rick Perry, who was seated next to Cain at the forum, which is sponsored by the Christian conservative organization The Family Leader, reached over and touched Cain on the shoulder, consoling him.

It is so typical of a poster with liberal or blind leanings to cherry pick one comment out of literally hundreds and make issue of it and without the benefit of context. If someone would care to see what I was responding to they might understand why that comment was made.
Perhaps the reaction was a bit strong but it's tiresome to see you Perry haters drop in on threads just to crap all over them with irrational comments; which is what happened in this case. And it wasn't even a Perry thread, but one of the debate threads which that poster felt compelled to bash Perry. So yes, my reaction was strong. What? did you 'copy' my comment and then complain to a mod to have it pulled? But kept it all this time waiting, for some opportunity to post it. How pathetic is that? That comment pales in comparison to the tactics used by you and other blind Perry haters. Your ignorance shows no bounds.
Furthermore, your response here was not even directed at the correct party. Why is that? Was that intentional because lonestar would most likely make mincemeat out of you in a reasoned debate. Oh there is the key word that scares the bejeezus out of you: 'reasoned'.

You don't post about article or even candidates. You post about other posters. It gets old, and it may get you banned yet. And if it does it will be your doing, not mine. I can't say I would hate to see you go as your rabid attacks on all who do not like Perry identify you as a troll. Just one read of your posting history shows how you attack others; it is practically all you do. You once accused me of lying then cowardly refused, when challenged, to provide even one instance in which I have lied. That is stereotypical troll.

Some of the main points I got from this Family Forum was that when Cain said, I can do this, his wife said WE can do this, and Santorum kept his child in their happy, loving home, rather than put her in a hospice, which was recommended to him, plus I liked the comfort that Perry and Bachmann extended to Cain and/or Santorum.
All these people showed us that they have character and a heart.

Exactly. After watching this debate, you come away knowing that all six of these people are good and decent. You see into their hearts and minds for the first time.
The two that grew greatest in my estimation were Santorum and Perry. His IQ went up 20 points in my estimation.
My guy, Cain, was wonderful and honest and so very loving. I cried twice with him. He had a “cats in the cradle and a silver spoon” moment when he regretted, with tears, all the time he spent away from his kids when they were growing up. And when he tried but couldn’t get the words out due to emotion about his wife’s support when the surgeon gave him little chance of survival, wow. This is a man who loves his wife and knows the heck why.
When I thought of Obama being at a forum like that, I realize he would not have been able to utter more than “Present.” He is not at all in tune with his upbringing and his own heart. He lives a totally false life. If he ever gave serious thought to how he was brought up, he’d have to cry for 5 weeks straight. I feel sorry for the guy (re his childhood) but I do NOT want him making decisions for the decent people of the US of A.

Aww no need to be so harsh & nasty. I backed everything with documented sources, unlike you and your fellow haters. But then, I realize some really despise clouding their arguments with facts. I’m sorry you are among that group.
