A leader of the jihad that has kept Afghanistan in turmoil for years says the violent "Occupy" protests across the United States are an outgrowth of his movement.
The claim comes from Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, chief of Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan, in a recent article in the Pashtu-language Pakistani daily Wrazpanra Wahdat.
"We can say with full confidence that the latest spring in Africa and the Arab world and the uprising in Europe and the United States is the effect of Afghan jihad on [an] international level and all these revolutions have gotten inspiration from our [faithful] mujahideen and their resistance," he wrote.

While I have noticed some pro Palestinian and US Islamic presence at some Occupy activities, there is no indication I have seen of any Afghan inspired viewpoints.

I seriously doubt anyone is going to find 72 virgins among the OWS protest crowd and if they’re not going to cull out the virgins, the people making this claim would be happy to behead everyone out there protesteing.

These protests were relatively mild. A bunch of teenagers acting obnoxious.

Absolutely true. Their ally in the white house, the first Muslim in Chief, who supported all of the Islamist protests abroad, is indeed responsible also for these anti-American protests here at home. Factually true. Thankfully they are insane and too busy stealing, raping, and publicly defecating to wield any political power. They have been a brilliant advertisement for the mental disorder of liberalism.
I would probably concede that the way the muzzies riot and destroy stuff in such a rabid and mindless manner might have been at least some inspiration to the OWS crowd. PS-love when you talk dirty...
