One of the enduring questions about Occupy Wall Street has been this: Can the energy unleashed by the movement be leveraged behind a concrete political agenda and push for change that will constitute a meaningful challenge to the inequality and excessive Wall Street influence highlighted by the protests?
A coalition of labor and progressive groups is about to unveil its answer to that question. Get ready for Occupy Congress.
The coalition which includes unions like SEIU and CWA and groups like the Center for Community Change is currently working on a plan to bus thousands of protesters from across the country to Washington, where they will congregate around the Capitol from December 5-9, SEIU president Mary Kay Henry tells me in an interview.

One goal of the protests, Henry says, is to pressure Republicans to support Obamas jobs creation proposals. More generally, the aim is to highlight Congresss misguided obsession with the deficit and overall inaction on unemployment.
Were taking about it as an effort to take back the Capitol, Henry says. It would be great if we could build pressure that goes beyond the jobs act.

The reason were targeting Republicans is because this is about jobs, she said. The Republicans insistence that no revenue can be put on the table is the reason were not creating jobs in this country. We want to draw a stark contrast between a party that wants to scapegoat immigrants, attack public workers, and protect the rich, versus a president who has been saying he wants America to get back to work and that everybody should pay their fair share.

The “children’ who are out there sleeping in Zuccotti Park are the Left’s “useful idiots”.
Another excuse for the labor union thugs to blame everything on Republican control of Congress!
“Can hardly wait for them to try and do the crap they’ve been doing actually in the halls and on the floors of Congress - pass the pop corn. LOL “
That reflecting pool on the mall will make a mighty big crapper.
Remember Wisconsin
Let me get this straight.
We pay federal taxes, they don’t pay any federal taxes.
And we still don’t pay our “fair share”?
“It would be even better if the Republicans forcefully ennunciated WHY more revenue is equal to more WASTE.”
Or if they demonstrated how “more revenue” through tax hikes always winds up being dramatically less revenue than expected, in reality.
I think it’s time for the Americans in the TEA Party to “occupy” the occupies. We are going to have to fight for our country sooner or later. We might as well get the dance started.
Absolutely.

Hey, maybe Boehner can walk around outside with the gavel and laugh at them like Nazi P.

But remember Nancy Pelosi and John Lewis claiming they were spat upon and called the N-word? Maybe the OWS crowd will not disappoint and live up to their past history and the congresscritters might even find themselves sh-t upon! Just remember, the Libs and DemoCraps love and fully endorse these degenerates!
Boehner is a useless idiot. IMO
Actually, these 6 items are a first "Bill of Entitlements."

Are you kidding?
Confronted with a mob like this, the GOP leadership will cower in the corner.
Boehner and McConnell will disappear from public view. Asked for comment by the Sunday shows, they will agree that the mob has a point and they will plead for time to create a "bi-partisan response".
There is nothing wrong with the conservative movement -- except that it has no effective representation in Washington.
Conservatives will legitimately occupy congress after the 2012 elections.
It will be interesting to see which sitting Members of Congress stand with them, address them on the Capitol steps. Too bad it’s not yet an election year. Hopefully they come back early next Fall.
