That artwork is a direct assault on the Constitution of the United States. It is an abomination.

“...they intend to use force against you...”
Which automatically de-legitimizes them, provides an immediate threat vector AND a target, and removes any reason whatsoever why any AMERICAN should entertain any notion of compliance.
F*** ‘em.
“Resist We Much” as Reverend Al Sharpton said...(had to do it...I couldn’t help myself).
We’re Americans, this ain’t Europe, and we will NOT comply.
Molon labe.

“...but it will be expected that law enforcement at all levels enforce this law, including the cop down the street...”
Then you already know where he lives.
The words “Choose this day whom you will serve...” come to mind. If Officer Friendly makes his choice against you, his own people, well...he makes his own bed then.
“...America is bound to abide by treaties it signs,
unless folks think we shouldnt... “
Not when it comes to abrogating my rights as an AMERICAN Citizen. I don’t give a rat’s ass what some Bulgarian or Ghanian puke thinks about my right to own a firearm...nor do I care what Banki Moon, or Kofi Anon or whatever other totally replaceable, completely interchangeable Marxist douchebag du jour is running the show over there thinks.
And any one of OUR politicians who signs us on to ANY treaty that infringes on our rights should be immediately arrested, and publically hanged as a traitor.
We have people that swore an oath to uphold, protect, and defend the US Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic.
This is an example of BOTH types of enemies, right here amongst us.
Pretty much sums it up for me.

No treaty can take away a right, the treaty itself would be unconstitional and therefore illegal.
Only a constitutional amendment can remove a right.

America is bound to abide by treaties it signs, unless folks think we shouldnt... ?Just as a law which presumes powers not granted to the government by the Constitution is invalid, so is a treaty that exceeds their authority. They can't give away in your stead something of yours they don't own.

Only a constitutional amendment can remove a right. Wrong. Your rights do not exist because someone wrote them on a scrap of parchment.

I did not say they existed because of the constitution. But it is the only thing protecting our rights.
The government is constantly trying and in some cases succeeding in eroding away our rights.

I just moved to Kentucky. I have to be a resident for six months before I can get a cc permit. Im basically defenseless for six months. If you are really concerned about it, just go ahead and carry. The operative word being concealed. I won't tell if you don't. Remember, 'tis better to be judged by twelve then carried by six.
I assume that your former state of residence does not have reciprocity with Kentucky.

GtG

it means you legally dont have to be 'defenseless' if you choose not to be...strap yer pistol on yer hip, or toss it on the seat, or dash or glove box and youre 'legal'...full statewide pre-emption from any local bs ordinances too...
that doesnt however, mean that there aint a rouge dumbass cop that might challenge ya...just not likely if ya act like ya got some sense...

At least the snow banks help clear the Fudd's off the range for me...
Be well. Be prepared.
