Sometime today, someone uploaded to Youtube about 40 minutes of Newt speaking & answering questions at a Tea Party meeting in Dallas on 10/20/10. I seek out these events recorded by citizens; they're more interesting & informative than the prepackaged 2-minute bits from the MSM. Haven't watched it myself yet, and I don't expect anything earth-shattering, but I hope some on FR find it interesting. The event is broken up into 2 videos.

lots there
For one thing, Gingrich pioneered a denial of adultery that some observers would later christen
“the Newt Defense”: Oral sex doesn’t count. In a revealing psychological portrait of the “inner”
Gingrich that appeared in Vanity Fair (September 1995), Gail Sheehy uncovered a woman, Anne Manning,
who had an affair in Washington in 1977 with a married Gingrich.
“We had oral sex,” Manning revealed. “He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say,
‘I never slept with her.’” She added that Gingrich threatened her: “If you ever tell anybody about this,
I’ll say you’re lying.”
If you want to elect a moral instructor, don’t vote for Newt. Me, I can take care of myself. Plus, it’s naive in the extreme to trust anything from Salon, particularly anything written about a Republican from that dishonest, left-wing site.
Yeah, but the problem is that all the media is left. And we have to get stories from somewhere.

If all babysitters were pervs, would you get one for your kids?
bump.
I may not want Pelosi’s pal to be our nominee, but at least he has the stones to face his harshest critics. Dear God please don’t give us another “broken glass” candidate.
Your point is?
As we all know, anyone can say anything... Even you. If you have personal knowledge of any of this, let’s hear it. If your just repeating something somebody said, keep your trap shut. It’s nothing but hearsay.
Very good videos. Still not my first choice, but Newt’s key strength, articulating Conservative positions, rings through.
I believe it was St. Paul who once said, in order for one to rid oneself of sin completely, they would have to leave this life (i.e. planet!) completely.
PING!
Have not yet watched.
Don’t care. Newt has found God, asked for forgiveness, and from what I can tell.... has straightened his life out for a long time now. He is clearly the best candidate we have. Keep up the attacks though.
He has no Warrior spirit, our enemies will be more brazen when they see that.
Where is the drum circle?
the entire point of FR is to provide links to news stories and comment on them.
I see the new york times discussed here all the time. Stories posted.
NYT is as liberal as any of these sources.
You can leave Free Republic if you think it’s like pervs.

The anecdote was repeated ad nauseam when Gingrich became House speaker in 1995. Then it was repeated ad nauseam
when he filed for divorce with his second wife, Marianne, in 1999.
The story came up again in the mid-2000s when Gingrich was openly mulling a 2008 presidential bid.
In 2007, when Gingrich told James Dobson in a radio interview that he had in the 1990s cheated
on his second wife (with his current wife, Callista), several stories about the admission also noted the 1980 hospital encounter.
If Gingrich is really serious about a 2012 candidacy, expect the hospital story to stay with him throughout the campaign.

More spamming from the retread TROLL.
TIMBER RATTLER = VIRGINIA RIDGERUNNER
There’s some thing messed up about an individual repeatedly spamming FR with links to a discredited Leftist website, who is then called on it, and then responds with more links from the same site.
Hey genius, the Left defames Republicans, all of them.
TF’s been posting that piece on every Newt thread...their idea of “having fun”....
Sometimes it’s just wise to ignore those using the Progressive/Liberal tactics to crucify our candidates.
