Dear Clients, Industry Colleagues and Friends of Barnhardt Capital Management,
It is with regret and unflinching moral certainty that I announce that Barnhardt Capital Management has ceased operations. After six years of operating as an independent introducing brokerage, and eight years of employment as a broker before that, I found myself, this morning, for the first time since I was 20 years old, watching the futures and options markets open not as a participant, but as a mere spectator.
The reason for my decision to pull the plug was excruciatingly simple: I could no longer tell my clients that their monies and positions were safe in the futures and options markets – because they are not. And this goes not just for my clients, but for every futures and options account in the United States.
The entire system has been utterly destroyed by the MF Global collapse. Given this sad reality, I could not in good conscience take one more step as a commodity broker, soliciting trades that I knew were unsafe or holding funds that I knew to be in jeopardy.

Umm, gee, I thought everything changed when the US government told secured bond holders of GM and Chrysler to get stuffed. Guess I was wrong.
Black clouds cover the horizon, the lightening is flashing and there is the distant sound of thunder! The storm flags are going up, will you heed them?
I am very aware that if it’s the great end that there is nothing I can do to stop or change it, but history is full of instances and times when man or nature have caused such a calamity that people have cried out and begged God to end it all.
The bible has many verse such as this:
A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3
This verse and others are there for a reason and I urge all to take heed of them, because we are clearly on the edge. Everyday there is a new story about the ‘Yutes’ who grow more restless everyday and when you add the fact that because of the economy people are already on edge it won’t take much to set things off.
Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

Today we have ‘yutes’ who roam our streets who are with out morals, without respect for law or life itself. They will look are you with the same ‘doll eyes’ a shark does before he eats you and they will feel no more compassion than the shark does.
That will be the test of many. Most preppers I know are Christian people and they will hesitate to do what they might have to do to stop the ‘yutes’. On the other hand the ‘yutes’ won’t think twice nor lose a minute of sleep, in fact they will smile and laugh about it.

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

While Rush and Sean will mention many of the websites they read they will never mention this one. The reason Rush brought this topic up is he was reading it here after it was posted. I have seen this happen many times with him even where he will say what a Freeper said as part of his dialogm
Basically if you read FR you will know where he and Sean get a lot of their content from.

Your metaphorical boat will go over the falls, not merely because it can no longer be driven back under its own power - it's too late for that - but because its passengers will either attempt to blink away peril, or else blindly head into the direction of disaster, rather than away from it.
If anyone plans on future "voyages", now is the time to make your own escape plans. The crew won't help you. They're too busy saving themselves. And here's the kicker: I'm an optimist. Many of us will make it. But they had better hear the bells ringing, and they are pealing loudly, right now.

Too much of the money in those markets has always been funny. Good riddance, at least for a while.
