It's absolutely impossibe to even determine a mean temperature for the earth, present and future within a few degrees of the present.

You need a universal temperature which is even more impossible.

Man is soooooo vain....so afraid to say...."I don't know" so he makes wild guesses and expounds. But in the end....it's all about money and power.....not science.

But the main reason I have remained a skeptic is that the atmosphere, unlike the land surface, has shown no warming during the crucial period (1978-1997), either over land or over ocean, according to satellites and independent data from weather balloons.

The ONLY global data that we have is from satellites. Balloons and surface temperature measurements should be used to corroborate and correlate satellite measurements with surface measurements, both on the ground and water surface temperatures.

Continue playing around using only land temperature measurements might never be credible in my opinion.
