I was freaking DEFENDING Cain, but if you must persist:

Cain has at numerous campaign stops referred to Mitt Romney as his good friend.

On THIS VERY CAMPAIGN, he named Mitt Romney as his #1 to be his V.P. if he wins the nomination:

-—”Cain, for his part, mentioned Romney first when talking about which fellow candidate he would most likely pick as vice president if he were the nominee.”-—

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2790451/posts

-—”A Cain aide is even more succinct, saying simply, “They get along well.”-—

That's not a knock on Cain, because friendships cross ALL political spectrums. He can be friends with anyone and everyone, for crying out loud.

My point was that the reason he instantly though it was Perry and not Mitt is probably because Herman Cain is a man of honor who would never throw a personal friend under the bus like that; and because he is a man of honor, he never dreamed his friend Mitt would backstab him in such a dastardly fashion. All I am saying is, Herman doesn't understand the depths to which Romney will stoop to win power.

I read that article. There is a lot of incorrect information in it.

As to your quote - when asked in a debate who he would choose as a VP, he joked Romney if he would get rid of that tax plan, and then he gave his real answer.

He has been asked in interviews several times who he likes for a VP and his two consistent choices have been DeMint and Paul Ryan.
