H.R. 822, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011, has officially passed one of its first hurdles by making it out of the House Judiciary Committee unscathed. The legislation now moves on to the full House of Representatives for approval, a process which could be completed before the close of 2011. So what exactly stands between you, your Florida CCW permit, and the ability to carry down Broadway in New York City? Oh, just a couple of minor steps

Basically, the Constitution IS my carry permit, Period (as Ted Nugent said in that wonderful interview).
Everything they do is suspect anymore...what a sick frigging time we live in.
At this point it just looks like showmanship instead of substance.
Or - if passed, as you said, another way of regulating what they have no business regulating to begin with.

Regardless, Constiutional rights of the people trump both federal and state laws, and this enforces the 2nd Amendment.

The Senate may not pass it ... but then again, an election year IS coming-up and some of the Libs in the Senate may not want to risk having one more link added to the chain they’ve already got dangling around their neck. The timing is about as good as we could have hoped for imho.
