so now I know what they do at St. Norbert College aside from third-rate college hockey
The counties are finding ways around the property tax limits.
The school teachers are crying everywhere and to everyone how they have *lost* $5k/year in *income*. They then cut back their expenditures, which hurts local small business.
We sent money we really could have used elsewhere to Walker, but I hear life-long Republicans from Republican families hem and haw about “Well, the other side _says:(blah-blah-blah).”
We don’t deserve it. But the donks are going to try and make sure it happens, anyway.
Obviously their taxes are to low!!!
Ding, Ding, we have a winner!! Exactly what’s going on here is this. Monday night after another fabulous Packer victory (ok, I’m shameless)while probably at least a million Wisconsin people are up watching the TV, the news stations were touting the time, place, reason and who was able to begin the recall effort at midnight! Imagine the news stations bragging about a pajama party starting at midnight to recall our TERRIFIC Gov. Walker! I had steam rolling out my ears on seeing the TV coverage here in WI.
Also, my local newspaper from my VERY Republican county has repeatedly put front page, huge font information about who, what, where, when and why Walker is being recalled. Well, I have written a scathing letter to that editor and requested he charge the recall effort for FREE advertising, front and center in that paper.
I asked “where is the same font size, same front page story on how many school districts across Wisconsin have extra money now that the overpaid, over perked teachers unions now have to pay a tiny portion of their own health care and pension costs. Also I ask you, how many of these same whiner teachers are voluntarily sending union dues now that it is NOT required. That’s right - THAT’s in Walker’s bill.
It may sell papers, but it is hacking off the Walker fans really bad. Oh yes - the AFLCIO union thugs are picketing Walkers private home, disgustingly loud and TV reporters right there to help promote that low class display. Anyone that wants to help promote Walker - we’d love to have your support.
Here is the Fall 2011 poll report:

Here is the Spring 2011 poll report:
http://www.wpr.org/announce/survey1104/survey1104recalls.pdf
Here are my criticisms:
1. The sample size is rather small (400-500) and is from a “random” telephone sample. Unlike the larger national polls, the St. Norbert college poll doesn’t appear to document how “random” the poll actually was. There is no mention of what percentage of the respondants were republican, democrat or independent.
2. As there was no measure of the randomness in the poll, the pollster was free to take its “random” samples in any way that they wanted to (i.e. they were free to skew the results). For example, they could have focused their “random” sample on the predominantly democrat Madison area. The report doesn’t indicate otherwise.
3. I’m not sure what this artifact means, if any: The spring poll was made of landline phone owners. The Fall poll was made of landline+cell phone owners.
Didn’t they just tried to recall a whole bunch of state senators and lost?
A Message to the RNC:
We are watching you, and whether or not you have Walker’s back...if not, we are done with you.
They won two of the races. There’s going to be a massive amount of Democrat money spent on this.
This story is old. A current poll shows that about 54% of the electorate support Walker.
Of course the story is old, it was posted November last year. Don’t know how it got bumped up on top of the other threads.
Well, it is like a dagger to my heart to read such things! (majority against Walker)
