Karzai Aims to Set Limits on U.S. Troops

(KABUL, Afghanistan) — Afghan President Hamid Karzai called Wednesday on elders assembled for a national conference to help create a fair framework for relations with the U.S. and find a path to peace for the turbulent country.

Karzai spoke at the opening of a "loya jirga," or grand council, which will discuss a proposed strategic partnership with the United States that would oversee the American military presence here as troops draw down, as well as possible peace talks with the Taliban.

Karzai urged the roughly 2,000 delegates to consider both the need for international help and the need to make sure Afghans are setting the rules in their own country.

"We want to have a strong partnership with the U.S. and NATO, but with conditions," Karzai said. " We want our national sovereignty, and an end to night raids and to the detention of our countrymen. We don't want parallel structures alongside our government."

The roughly 100,000 U.S. troops currently in Afghanistan operate without any bilateral agreement governing their actions, though the majority of them are under a U.N. mandate.

If America troops weren’t protecting this criminal, he would have been beheaded by the Taliban long ago.

How about we just leave, and Karzai’s head will be on a pike in one week?

Is there a way for an angry American to chip in to help pay for the beheading sword? Young Americans are being killed and wounded and this S.O.B. seems to resent our presence in his poor country.
One word says it all....”O U T!!!”

20,000 missing MANPADS from Libya.

Afghanistan landlocked.

US forces ingress and egress limited to flying.

100K plus US personnel plus massive material assets.

These were my first thoughts on learning of the missing MANPADs. Scared the crap out of me.

FUBO

a proposed strategic partnership with the United States that would oversee the American military presence here as troops draw down, as well as possible peace talks with surrender to the Taliban.

Fixed.

It would be amusing, in a morbid sort of way, to re-read some of the worshipful praise of Karzai made by defenders of this war back in 2002 and 2003, wouldn’t it?

Karzai is just in it to get as much money from the US and Allies before he flees the craphole country leaving it to the Taliban once again.....He has also said that if there is a fight in the area his country will fight against the US. Time to get our boys out and leave behind a few devices that will turn the whole Rats Nest into a crater.

Wait, is this the same guy that just had Kabul HQ attacked and the Hotel which was allegedly as safe as could be and he thanked our soldiers for saving his bacon so to speak? Is this the guy who ended up head cheese after Massoud of the Northern Alliance was assassinated and we garnished him in green silk? Is this the same guy that doesn't want us to fart in the general direction of muslims or mecca? Same guy that b**ched about men ( and women) having scripture on their scopes and had his fingerprints over the burning of hundreds of thousands of bibles?

Step away from the guy, let him be. Take away all our weaponry and guards. He'll be dead way faster than it took Mubarek to be caged, or his Daffiness to be hunted down and killed like a dog.
